Getting off from the coast in Aruba.

Enjoyable walk through the Arikok National Park. Brandon (guide) was really informative about the flora and fauna and the history of the local environs. Was expecting the 'hike' to be more strenuous and testing - more like a morning stroll.

Joshua was so engaging, VERY knowledgeable, and friendly!! His knowledge on the park and on Aruba was so extensive because of his desire to have a deep knowledge of the island. This was a great hike through the national park! Very do-able terrain, and well worth it to have a guide inform us on the history of the park, and the flora and fauna throughout the hike.

We had a great time! A very easy trail. The details about having a park ranger as your hiking guide are misleading. Although our guide was pleasant, he was not a park ranger. He was an employee of the EL Tours.

Get back to nature

This tour helps get you out of the resorts and back to nature. The guide is knowledgeable with the history of the park along with a variety of plants and animals that you come across. The trail is nicely maintained. However good footwear (no flipflops) is recommended. Also remember Aruba is a "desert" island, so even though I'd only consider this hike to be moderately difficult. I wouldn't recommend it for the elderly or anyone with mobility issues or health problems.

Nice walk thru Aruba's Dessert Landscape . Its not an easy walk but not hard either its in between . Be prepared for alot of Cacti , steps, rocks. The guide was very informative and professional.

I enjoyed this tour. It was nice getting out into nature and seeing the indigenous plants of Aruba. Our tour guide was Joshua. He was pretty good. I wish he would have had more pertinent stories and knowledge about the area. It was good experience. I'm glad I took the tour.

Tour guide was knowledgeable and scenery was amazing But other members of the tour Slowed the tour way down This is your is not a walk in the park There is a pathway but with many steps and you are in the desert. So, dress Appropriately

Josh was a very informative fun loving guide!! The hike was not strenuous and there were all ages in our tour group from 25 to 70. We were able to be picked up right from our resort which made it convenient. I would highly recommend this tour!

If you enjoy hiking, I highly recommend the Arikok Hiking tour. It was fascinating to learn about the native plants and animals and the views were fabulous! Joshua, our tour guide, was knowledgeable about the terrain and his wonderful sense of humor added a special touch to the experience.

Ok but could be better

First of all hike was led by a tour company guide not a park ranger. When you have a line of 12 people those at the end can’t hear anything the guide is saying. Raise the price some but have wireless headsets for everyone!

Wet But Fun

I would have given this hike a 5 star, however, it rained the first leg of the hike, and there were dozens of puddles we had to walk through. We were wet the whole time, but the hike is still a good one! There are a lot of medium inclines (stairs) so be prepared for those!! Our guide Ari was great! He was knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly! We witness many species of birds, a mountain goat, and various plant life!

Yuri was a great guide. On the ride over to the park, he took us by the Ayo rock formation and through various neighborhoods where he explained their history and cultural significance. In the park, Yuri explained a lot about the flora and fauna that live there and the conservation efforts that made the park happen. You see the highlights, like the indigenous cave paintings and an old adobe house. The exertion level is mild. Not much in terms of hills. Also, I wore hiking boots but found them to be overkill. Athletic shoes with a little cushion would be plenty.

We very much enjoyed out Arikok hike. We were picked up at our resort as scheduled. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Landscape features were pointed out and identified, along with historical facts and details. Various vegetation was described with both harmful and beneficial conditions identified. We observed various geckos, birds and some other wildlife. The overall hike was enlightening and provided us additional knowledge of Aruba. We would highly recommend this hiking tour.

Great tour and guide. Good walk. Did not see much wild life but the view is great. Would recommend at least going with a tour guide once. That way you learn which plants are dangerous to touch.

Comfortable hike….I wish I would have booked a longer tour because I really enjoyed the sights & sounds of the birds and didn’t really want it to end. I heard there are longer tours & may try that next time. The birds were a little elusive, but still got to see some. If you want a comfortable hike that isn’t too exerting, this is a great choice.

What an eye-opening trip! Every tree, leaf, goat and rock Ive ever wondered about explained.. CANNOT recommend highly enough! One of my fave things I’ve ever done in many trips to Aruba! Feel so blessed to have experienced this!
