Trace was a great guide. The meeting point was easy to find. She shared local history of Asheville and the area as we walked around the city and took in the sites. She also gave us great restaurant recommendations and places to see live music.

The walking tour was much more than I had expected. It was great to learn about some of the history and be introduced to so much. A great way to get a taste of the city for my first time to Asheville. My guide was very knowledgeable of the city, fun to talk with and provided some great recommendations.

Architecture, history, trails and hotels, while having fun and exercising!!
Rita_S, Oct 2023
We liked learning the history and all the local stories about the buildings and the trails. The unique way the hotels were identified with quirky statues was hilarious.. The architecture of the buildings was fascinating. Jordan, our guide, made it all so much fun one didn't notice we were getting good exercise!

We really enjoyed learning about Asheville’s history. We had no idea it was such a bustling place in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable. Ending at Cultivated Cocktails was awesome too!

We feel very misled by Viator!!
Kathy_W, Aug 2023
I booked a walking tour in Asheville, NC and paid $76 for 15 people (great deal) with the understanding that we would be required to tip our guide. I believe this is standard practice for tour guides, waiters, etc. When we got there our guide said that neither he or his tour company would receive any of that prepaid amount and his only payment would be through tips. I took him at his word but feel that the tour was falsely advertised through Viator!!! What did Viator do to justify taking our payment? They did NOT provide the tour! It was done by a 3rd party. Viator just took our money and provided nothing!
Getting to know Asheville
Merrill_R, Aug 2023
We waited patiently for some people who were late arrivals. The walking pace was easy. A good introduction to downtown. I found free (Sunday) metered parking on the street near Pack Park and county buildings. We only went in one business. Map provided at end of tour. Mike had a good strong voice, patient with questions too.
