Great day on the Great Wall but misleading tour description

I thoroughly enjoyed spending a full day at the Great Wall. My guide was Jackie and I enjoyed walking on the Wall with him a lot. So then why only 2 stars? I booked the "Thru-Hike Adventure (Challenge)" option, and the description there states "4.5-Hour Guided hike over 20 Towers from unrestored section. Covering West & East Line + Toboggan included". My guide only walked from Tower 14 to Tower 6 with me, so the description turned out to be misleading.

Tour is great, can’t recommend it enough! I had initially planned to go on the 8am but because of taxi issues, went on 10am, which ended up being great. The Great Wall was pretty much empty and we caught great late afternoon with clear skies. Tony, our guide, explained everything on the way and gave all the tips, super clear. We had enough time to do East and West sections, including the toboggan. The lunch provided is nothing especial, but it is good enough so you don’t have to worry about food there. Also loved that this tour went right away to the Wall without any stops for shopping. Highly recommend and would go again!

Excellent tour with our guide Michael! He was attentive throughout the tour, gave a good amount of information regarding the sites, and consistently reminded us what we were about to do, and what the time constraints were. We really enjoyed our time spent with him and others on the tour and would recommend it. One thing to note is that you do have to pay to take the gondola up and down both the east and west sections of the wall and it is an added expense.

Our English speaking tour guide made sure I’m ok with everything , sent me instructions and follow ups, and picked up my call quickly every time I needed some translation as the Great Wall staff don’t speak English.

Great trip! Would highly recommend it. You need to pay separate for a cable car and toboggan. The guide speaks good English. The lunch was delicious and I would recommend to buy it as you would feel very hungry after climbing the difficult steps on the wall.
