Pickup details

Our departure points are usually from the San Pedro Belize Express for our clients coming from Caye Caulker and San Pedro, or from Terminal 1 at the cruise ship dock for our cruise ship clients. If you need us to pick you up from a specific hotel, let us know via email and we’d be glad to accommodate your needs. We can do pickups anywhere in Belize City. Guests on San Pedro, Caye Caulker, St. George's Caye and other islands would need to come in to Belize City to be picked up. Our tours usually leave at 9:00 AM CST, but if you’d like to leave earlier, let us know. We do not offer pickups at Harvest Caye for cruise passengers coming on Norwegian Cruise Line ships as it is a private island owned by that company and most local operators are unable to offer tours there.

Belize is beautiful. Eric from Jose Tours was a fantastic tour guide. The cave tubing was awesome. Eric gave us great insight to the Mayan ruins as well. I can't say enough good things about Eric and this tour. We were on a cruise ship and only had so much time to spend on this excursion. Because you have to take a boat tender from ship to shore, we were quite late for our excursion. Jose and Eric were so understanding and know all of this beforehand. They were so accommodating and made sure we got to experience everything within the time we had. If you tour Belize, look nowhere else but Jose Tours and ask for Eric or Jose himself. You will not be disappointed unless you are grumpy and don't have personality.

Jose was the best tour guide you could ask for! He was very personable, knowledgeable, and greatly knew the landscapes and history of Belize. He made our tour enjoyable. Due to the high rivers, cave tubing was cancelled for all tourists that day. However, in lieu of the cave tubing Jose took us to see the Howler Monkey sanctuary - which was an amazing experience. When we arrived at the Altun Ha ruins, there were several tourists bus groups already. But Jose still managed to help make our tour of the ruins feel private and we did not cross paths with the large tourists groups. He took us around the ruins and told us about the history of the Mayan people. Afterwards he brought us to the Roadhouse where we had a wonderful Belizean lunch. He then got us back to the water taxi terminal with plenty of time to spare for the next boat back to San Pedro. This was an amazing tour and next time we are in Belize we will definitely book Jose again.

We were very disappointed first that we were not notified about the changing weather and the risk of cancellation of parts of the trip. We should have been given the option to continue or cancel based on the changing itinerary. We understand the weather can be unpredictable but expect to be given the option based on bad weather. Additionally, the driver drove quite fast and some in the back of the van had motion issues.

Jose was our tour guide and he really made the trip such an amazing and enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend taking this trip and experiencing such an amazing side of Belize. It's definitely our most memorable experience on our trip by far!

The trip to the ruins was somewhat interesting to see something that old, but to be honest I thought there would be more there to actually see; the whole time at the ruins was maybe a half hour, we walked around, climbed up one, took some pictures, and then were off to the next site. The cave tubing was relaxing and fun, not much else to say about it. Jose our driver was nice and made sure that we made it back to our cruise ship on time, but was constantly complaining that our cruise ship was late, which it wasn't, we were in Belize a little after 9am, our tour was to start at 9am, definitely felt as though we were being rushed the whole day.

If you are looking for an excellent excursion with an even better experience, then look no further. I absolutely loved going on this trip. Alexander was our guide and was so incredible. Our tour was filled with great conversation on the way out to the tubing and Mayan ruins. He was also very knowledgeable about what we were experiencing and seeing. We ate the best authentic Belizean lunch (it was the best food my family has ever eaten). Honestly, you will feel extremely happy about buying this excursion. They picked us up right at the port and took us on our way (after a few pictures on the Belize letters). I really felt like we had been friends for a long time. I can't express enough my sincere appreciation and gratitude to Alexander (Saeed) for the experience he gave me and my family. Forget the big bus (busy) excursion and get this private tour, you will be happy you did!

Above and Beyond Amazing

Val was our driver and guide and I cant thank him enough for such an amazing day. It felt like 3 old friends exploring a new country together. He picked us up early because of rain and didn't want us to miss out on tubing if the river flooded too much. He gave us history and cultural lessons along the way and even quizzed our previous knowledge, so the car ride felt like we were on a game show. We learned a lot about Belize, the mayans, and life. Would highly recommend!!

Super goede gids die ons onmiddellijk voorstelde om eerst de Cave Tubing te doen. Daardoor waren we de eersten die de grotten ingingen wat een speciale ervaring was. Ook Altun Ha Maya Ruin is de moeite. Wij kozen deze tour omwille van de beperkte tijd ter plaatse en zijn zeer tevreden over onze keuze.
