Shady driver but great anyways

The company that was used was Cavetubing5stars. You should know it’s an hour drive to the cave but once you get there it is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. Well worth the time. The lunch that was provided was a chicken tamale. It was very small, not a lunch but really a snack. There were extra tamales left in a bag but the driver did not offer everyone if we wanted another. I think he ate for himself later. I took a star off bc that driver was a bit shady. Once we got to the cave facility, there are vendors selling sandals and plastic phone waterproof holder (which btw you don’t need bc only your butt gets wet). Driver tells us don’t use vendors on the right side bc they were untrustworthy but to use vendors on the left. So I went to buy a phone holder from the left vendors and the price was $25! I’m all about supporting local businesses and don’t mind paying a little more but $25 is highway robbery. Holder was of cheap quality. Not like the great quality I got on Amazon for 9 bucks. Also I was interested in a small coin purse and the lady was like. “Oh it took many hours to make that, it’s normally $20 but just give me $10”. Well, back at the port stores that same exact purse was $6. BEWARE of vendors on the left side there. Lol

It was a most awesome experience trekking the jungle and cave tubing the “Mayan underworld”! Our tour guide Aaron was energetic, informative and made sure everyone was safe and have a good time. This experience is definitely worth the money!

Kendrick was a great tour guide. He shared lots of knowledge about the history of Belize, how to survive in the forest and cave tubing. We had lunch when it was over and we got to shop. This is an all set tour so wear your bathing suit and bring a change of clothes.

Great experience with Jimmy and Peter. They helped the young kids to bring their tube to the caves. The way from the port is long: 1:15 approx The hiking was difficult for my 66 y.o mother. I didn’t find it difficult: I am in a average shape (healthy), my 13-10-7 y.o kids found it ok. It was approx 25-30 min hiking. The adventure in the caves was fun, water is clear. If you are a cruiser, get out from the ship the earlier you can because with the transport 2.5h and the hiking part, we don’t have a lot of free time considering the last tendering at 4.00pm. The lunch was not for the kids ( chicken tamales, spicy)…

This was a super fun experience! We had William as our guide and he did an awesome job. He gave us a lot of history as we drove through the town and country. I think it was around a 45 minute drive. Going down the lazy river was really neat. There was a group of 10 of us and William directed us down the river and then served Tamales for lunch. The river was absolutely beautiful. If you don't have water shoes there is a place to rent crocs or water shoes right where you pick up your tube ($3 rental fee).

Our cave tubing trip was awesome! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the caves history. The day was very organized and the tamale was delicious. After lunch you can buy souvenirs before the bus ride back to Port.

This was a little unorganized. We felt like we were being herded through at times, and other times it was just relax and let things go with the flow, which is much more my pace. The caves were beautiful, I would definitely have liked to have more informed guides on the caves and the environment leading up to them, but overall, it was a lovely tour, and well worth it.

The tour was amazing! It is a definite must do! Two recommendations: 1. Ensure that tourist are aware there's a 3 mile hike to get to the cave. 2. Don't pair non-cruise tourists with those on a cruise- our lunch was very rushed.

Our family of six enjoyed this cave tubing experience very much! We were traveling on an MSC cruise and arrived at the port 4hours late!! The 5starcavetubing team was waiting for us at the end of terminal 2 exit. They were able to accommodate every one who had booked the tour via viator. They were informed of the cruise's late arrival. We made our way towards the back and easily found them with clipboard in hand ready to check us off their list. Peter and his friend were very knowledgeable and kept our kids entertained the whole ride to and from the Nohoch Chen cave. This warmed my heart how they kept the kids entertained with riddles and jokes. It was about an hour drive to the cave. The van was very hot. The AC didn't seem to work properly but we managed. There's about a 20 minute walk up to the cave. You have to carry your tube with you or you can pay 5$ per person to have it carried for you. It's a bit tough but even our 75 year old grandpa was able to do it. The vegetation and natural trees were beautiful. Make sure you take good quality comfortable water shoes because the sandy rock terrain can be tough on your feet. The water of the cave was clear and refreshing. It was very cold! The kids loved the whole experience! I highly recommend booking this when in Belize. Afterwards, we had delicious tamales on a picnic table. Unfortunately, we were pressed for time, so we weren't able to enjoy shopping or the rum drinks but they got us back onto the cruise just in time! AMAZING experience! We loved Peter!! He took some amazing pictures of our family and accommodated us the whole way through! ❤️ Thank you Peter!

Our cruise was late to the terminal due to a medical emergency and we were still able to make it on the excursion! They had groups wait for us and it ended up being a refreshing experience! It was so hot and humid it felt great floating through a cool river. The water was shallow in many parts, and the lunch was light. Not an issue for our group, but some others were disappointed. We had a great time with our guide and would recommend in Belize!

A worthwhile, relaxing tour.

Earl was our fantastic guide! We had a party of 9 and it was appropriate for our group aged 5-69. It was an hour van ride to the start, then 20 minute nature walk. It was a great idea to pay $5 for someone else to carry the tube. It was a great, relaxing float for all of us. Earl made friends with our 5 year old grandson, making the event much more pleasant for him. We highly recommend this tour!

Great experience my 4th time cave tubing in Belize! This time I took my 18 year old daughter, and we both had a great time! It's a hour drive from the cruise port to get there, but it's worth it! Unlike my previous trips, this time once we floated out of the cave we got to continue in our tubes floating down the stream! This was a great addition to the experience, as you are traveling through a jungle. It's a jungle hike to get to the starting point, but you can pay vendor $5 to carry your tube there if you need to. Afterwards vendor provided a delicious chicken tortilla lunch at the site provided by a local restaurant. MSC cruises did not offer this popular cave tubing excursion so I chose this vendor through Viator because of the favorable ratings, and we were not disappointed. A representative was waiting for us at building 1 right when we exited the ships tender boat. Ask for 5 star, everyone is very helpful. Vendor's quick email response to my concern told me "not to worry" and they we right there looking for us! Got us back to port well before the last tender boat back to the ship. And the price was significantly less than my previous trips through the cruise lines!
