Beautiful but bumpy ride for a novice

The cobblestone streets of Bergen make for a bumpy Segway ride. Also it was very crowded so we had to navigate around a lot of people. Our guide was a very confident rider so he would be very far ahead leaving us to fend for ourselves. Thankfully he was wearing a bright yellow vest so we could see him in the distance. He was very soft spoken and English was difficult for him, so his narration was hard to understand. Bergen however was beautiful. Especially the views of the water from the hills. Worth it even though coming down those hills was scary.

If you've never done a Segway tour and you are in Bergen...give this tour some consideration! I'd done a Segway tour once before (in the US). My wife had never done one until this tour in Bergen. Both of us jumped on these Segways and were tooling around without issue in about 5 minutes time. Each of us had a radio transmitter with earpiece as the tour was narrated. We traveled up cobble stone streets, thru some of the most beautiful alleys and over some old pathways throughout the tour. It was an informative and fun way to spend 2 hours. There were 6 of us in total on this tour. If my memory serves me...4 of us had previous experience on the Segway. 2 were rookies. The 6 of us survived nicely and had a great time.

Tobias was our guide. Four of us went through a 20 minute introduction to using the Segway. That is a must since most are newbies. It was a easy and comfortable learning experience. Didn’t realize it was a history lesson about Bergen but it was nice to understand a bit about it. The route was fantastic! Covered many different segments of the town. Would recommend this to others.

This is such a fun way to get to see Bergen. Through this experience you get to see parts of the city you wouldn't get to see unless you were with a local and willing to do a lot of walking. If you're looking for something to keep your older kids engaged but, in a way that is still informative and historical this is is it.

This tour was incredibly enjoyable, especially due to our guide Tobias. We got and extensive and instruction at the start on how to use the Segway. It turned out this was necessary as we went all over Bergen on some very tricky roads. Lots of fun.

Fabulous experience

A wonderful way to see Bergen and some of its backstreets. We were in a small group (there were only 6 of us) and we covered a lot of the city in a 2 hour tour, including a viewpoint up a hill that definitely saved our legs. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and took us round at just the right pace, stopping for photo opportunities. We all received adequate training/practice before setting out on the road. One top tip - there is no wc, either at the Bergen Segway start/finish or along the route, so make sure you go before you arrive.

Touring by Segway is a great way to cover a lot of ground in a couple of hours. After completing our safety instruction we set off on our tour. Our guide, Lexine was very knowledgeable and made the journey enjoyable.

We had a blast on this tour! Our guide, Regina, was amazing. She was knowledgeable on the sights of Bergen and patient with those learning the Segway. I was nervous to get on the Segway, but we got some good instruction and plenty of time practicing. The Segway was intuitive and easier than I expected. One suggestion we have is that you should separate the groups by ability… There was a lot of wasted time for people who knew what they were doing, waiting for the inexperienced people that needed more time to figure it out. We would have liked that extra time to see more of this beautiful city. We very much recommend this tour to see the sights of Bergen relatively quickly.

We had a great time on the Segway tour with our guide Maria. We went as a family and enjoyed being able to see such pretty views in a short amount of time. This was our first time on a Segway, and we were given plenty of time to learn and practice how to ride it. There were 11 of us in a group, which felt like the perfect amount. Thanks so much again Maria! A great activity to do if you are on a time crunch.
