  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Fantastic tour with gorgeous very educated guide, John. We found out some more details from the britisch history. For our teenager it was a good motivation to reach A-level to be qualified to study (maybe) od Trinity- or Kingscollege… We are all very impressed of Cambridge.

What tour leaves early!!

Not good. Guide left a few minutes early!! My family arrived 1 minute early. Fortunately a local advised on what way the group had gone. Too many people. 20 plus. Guide just couldn’t cope.

Best walking tour with Dave. Two hours of more history than you learned in school. Excellent way to learn about Cambridge history. Well worth the money! Best for history buffs, not small children.

Great way to learn our history.

We only booked this tour on the morning of our visit to Cambridge following a brief glance at previous reviews. We were not disappointed. If you only have a limited time to learn about a place then the most obvious thing is to learn of its creation. You can then walk around, admire and appreciate the city and all it offers with that core of knowledge. Our guide Dave was absolutely brilliant. Extremely knowledgeable, [don't know how he remembers all those dates and names of historical characters] and very enthusiastic but with the ability to describe and explain in such a way for all to understand. The walking distance covered is very easy and the time of 2 hours is just about perfect for the amount of information to absorb. Even our teenage German student visitor found it enjoyable, meaning that this appeals to all ages. Thoroughly recommend this to anyone interested in history and who doesn't want to waste their time and money on tourist trivia. The Reynolds of Brentwood ( plus Jani from Germany)

Walking tour of Cambridge

The walking tour brought the rich history of Cambridge to life. Our guide John was a fountain of knowledge whose love for the history of the city was clearly shown. He for over an hour provided insights in the buildings and the major figures from the past who added to the story of city of Cambridge. I would recommend this trip to anyone interested in finding out about this wonderful city.
