What To Expect

Settle in for the ferry trip from Cannes to St Tropez, a journey of about one hour 15 minutes. Enjoy the scenery along the way, and disembark in the village of St Tropez for a day's worth of independent exploration.

St Tropez has been a much-loved seaside resort since the years after World War II, and in later years its cultural importance grew thanks to an influx of artists and the nascent Yé-yé movement of the 1960s. Celebrities and wealthy vacationers soon followed, giving the town its current reputation as one of luxury and glamour. As a result, there are many sides of St Tropez to discover during your visit.

Walk through the Old Port to see the luxury yachts bobbing in the water. Browse the wide array of high-end boutiques or casual outdoor markets for unique souvenirs. Sightsee your way through the St Tropez Church (Église de St Tropez) and the 17th-century Citadelle de St Tropez, from which you get a great vantage point over the town.

Get cultured at the Musée de l’Annonciade, where the collection includes pieces by Picasso and Matisse. Explore the more peaceful area of the La Ponche fishing quarter. Take to the water with a windsurfing class. Venture back toward the harbor for a seafood lunch or to simply enjoy the Mediterranean sun on a lovely St Tropez beach.

At the end of your day in St Tropez, head back to the port for the ferry ride back to Cannes.

The staff were very helpful , polite and professional. It is very organised and easy to access . The journey was very comfortable and clean . I would highly recommend it to anyone. My friend was using crutches and the staff did everything to help her and make her trip safe and comfortable. 5 star experience

Great experience St Tropez is stunning, so much to see and do. Highly recommend it. The only suggestion is making the meeting point a little easier to find especially if there are events at the port. There was so much going on when we went with some areas were blocked off. Luckily we had allowed a lot of extra time and eventually found it. Despite this I still remind this trip!

A good way to see St. Tropez and avoid the traffic. The ferry was pretty crowded, but not uncomfortable. The boarding process was a bit cattle car-like and could have been better organized, but manageable. The coast scenery is beautiful.

Getting on at Cannes was not a problem. The ride wasn’t bad at all. We had ample time to explore the area. Leaving St. Tropez was the only issue. No fault of Viator or the Ferry company. The port there was chaotic!!! We arrived back to the port 35 mins before departure. Once the ferry arrived it was complete Mayhem!!! It was difficult getting through the crowds to get onto the ferry. Crowds of People who were not bound for the trip back to Cannes stood in the way waiting to board their arriving ship. There were many other passengers along with us waving our valid tickets to the workers and they wouldn’t let us through. Finally, after 25 mins they let us through. It was stressful because there was no other ferry that was going to take all Of us back. The trip back needs to be better organized. The company needs to speak to the port workers in St. Tropez. Other than the departure everything was great.

We were really excited to take a trip to Saint Tropez and the boat ride was very smooth and quick. However we didn't do enough research beforehand to realise that the lovely beaches and beach bars were on the other side of the island which was a €50 Uber away and 20 mins both ways, which really eats into your 3.5hrs. The port has some very nice shops and restaurants nearby but if you want to visit the beaches that aren't rocky then I would suggest doing longer than a day trip.

It was a ferry ride that anyone could buy the return ticket in ticket office. Nothing especial. On the island I decided to visit couple of museums and walk through the town and have lunch. Then I came back to Cannes

The cruise was on-time both onwards and backwards. On the way back the ride was pretty bumpy, several ppl got sea sick, if you get sea sick stay on the bottom floor. The cruise staff were super helpful and understanding.
