Overview

Cape Town is a spectacular destination for paragliding, with Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, Robben Island, and dramatic coastline to see from above. This tandem experience puts you in the glider with an experienced instructor, who’ll show you the sights, let you take a turn at flying if you wish, and bring you safely into land. Be aware that flights are weather dependent.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Booking online thru viator was super easy, then inexpensive uber to Signal Hill to check in for my jump was a breeze. Expert pilot named Andre and assistants top of hill and landing on beach. The launch was unexpectedly easy and airtime was phenomenal!! The views of Table Mountain in the back are the best photo ops. Buy the video and photos from pilot once you land. Highly recommend!!!

My friend and I had a great flight with Skywings Paragliding. They were extremely friendly, safe, and communicative. The only issue is that is took us a couple of tries to get a day that the weather was cooperating. It was not there fault, though. 10/10 reccommend!!

Unfortunately the winds were not working in our favorite so we didn't get to go on this excursion, however, the company was lovely to work with. We will try again the next time we are in South Africa.

This was a lot of fun. The paraglider pilot makes you feel at ease and will walk you through every step of the way from the take off until the incredibly ease landing. It was amazing to float through the air and observe the beautiful city. A must do for all tourists.

Great experience and good communication with the staff. Nevertheless, be flexible as the departure time may be moved forward or backward on short notice. So plan enough time for the activity.

The guides made us feel safe and the views were incredible. The take off and landing were much easier than I expected. The video was also great to see after the flight.

I had the best experience paragliding in capetown. The instructors are well equipped and trained , which makes them trustworthy with your life in their hands. Nearing the end , the landing part , my instructor Heinri had me roll around, side ways and that was the best part!!!

I cannot recommend booking a flight with Skywing Paragliding, ours was cancelled day after day although the weather was very nice. Although we booked a spot in the morning via viator, they were not able to accommodate us, as they were already fully booked. So we were shifted to the afternoon and cancelled our other plans. However, on that day few hours before the flight, it was cancelled due to „strong winds“, but somehow we didn’t feel any wind that day and saw other paragliders in the air. We set a new date to the next afternoon, but it was cancelled as well because of „fog“, again we didn’t see any fog in the city, it was a sunny afternoon. I guess they probably didn’t have enough guides available, but I didn’t understand why they accepted our booking in the first place. Like this, we had to change our plans several times and didn’t have time left to book a flight with a different company. For us, this is unprofessional behavior.

Hi there thanks for your response. Paragliding is weather depended and we do our utmost best to reschedule when we can and we do monitor the weather every hour and if the weather conditions are not right to fly we have to cancel due to safety measures. It happens that people arrive on the hill and the wind picks up or there is low clouds or fog on the Hill. Fog can take some time to lift. So sorry about your experience. But if we have groups we do arrange for extra pilots. In this case it was the weather conditions. We try to give the best service. Sorry about your experience.

Oh, this was magnificent. Maybe not for everyone, but if you’ve got a spirit of adventure and want the best views of Cape Town, then this is a must. And psssst! It’s not really that scary!
