What To Expect

Following pickup at your North Island hotel, board a coach for the land-based portion of your tour.

Enjoy the tropical scenery as the coach passes through fishing villages and banana plantations at the edge of the rainforest in Morne Fortune. Arrive in Soufriere, a quaint town at the base of the Pitons, St Lucia's most well-known landmarks. These twin volcanic peaks are a World Heritage site; Gros Piton measures 2,350 feet (771 meters) high and Petit Piton is 2,438 feet (743 meters) tall.

Visit the nearby Diamond Botanical Gardens, which feature a profusion of native plant and animal life and are home to the Diamond Falls. Drive up to the edge of Sulphur Springs, the word's only drive-in volcano, to see live volcanic activity.

At a charming local restaurant, enjoy a traditional lunch in a relaxing environment. After lunch, climb aboard a comfortable boat for a cruise along the St Lucia's coastline. On the cruise to Marigot Bay, make stops to snorkel and swim in the turquoise Caribbean waters among the fish and coral.

Back at the dock, meet your coach for the return trip to your North Island hotel, completing your 8-hour excursion with drop-off.

A Delightful Sample of St Lucian Sights
ramireznerum, Nov 2023
The land and sea tour was a brilliant sampling of some of the most notable sights St Lucia has to offer. Our driver, Richard navigated the winding roads of the island deftly, and our guide M explained what we were seeing and it's history. The sulphur springs were reinvigorating, the Torraile waterfall was bracing, and the snorkeling was breathtaking. Be sure to bring a towel, as all the stops involve getting wet one way or the other. If your hotel is not located at the north end of the island you'll have quite the trip to get to the starting point of the tour. We arranged a separate taxi to the site, then the tour took us right back the same route past our hotel and our return taxi did it all again. We knew this going in, but travelling the same roads three times in a day was a bit silly in retrospect.

This trip was indeed worth it our Driver Sammy and tour guide was very knowledgeable .For the land part of the trip as we drove from Castries we were informed along the way about the history of the island. Several landmarks and buildings were pointed out along the way .We also had the opportunity for several picture stops along they way. We even got a chance to sample bananas including ketchup and the ever popular Spice Rum. Along the way the driver was very informative and his co tour guide also spoke German since we has a German couple aboard the Bus. As we passed villages such as Canaries and Ansa La Reye we were given a good history lesson. The stop at the botanical gardens was my least favourite part of the trip since I felt like we just walked passed and not much was said. The trip to the volcano was also good however was disappointed that we didn't get to do the Sulphur bath. I think this should be included in the trip since it is known as must do in St Lucia. I would have preferred to switch the botanical Gardens for the Sulphur Bath. However my disappointed was quickly faded after we left the volcano and had the delicious local lunch at the Estate restaurant. After lunch we headed down to Soufriere where we boarded a catamaran cruise .The atmosphere on the boat vibes and the dj played different genres of music including soca and hip hop .The views along the coastline was absolutely breath taking especially the view of Marigot Bay. I can't stop talking about this tour I would definitely recommend this tour was a way to see a good part of the island. I was also very impressed with the friendliness of all the locals which we interacted with during the tour. I repeat this is a must do tour on a visit to St Lucia

Overall, fun tour. I felt our guide spent too much time at the start of the tour pulling over to explain things, then we seemed to be rushed through the volcano and gardens tour so that we could get to the boat on time. I thought we would be going on a tour of a banana plantation, but we just stopped on the side of the road next to one and spoke with a local merchant about various banana products. I enjoyed lunch, the food was good however, they had an unexpected tour group show up before us, so our spots were taken up by other people. We had to wait for them to set up a table for us and the food was pretty picked over by the time we got to it, which was a little disappointing. Also, the bathrooms at the restaurant were very unclean and not working well. I would not recommend waiting to change there, just have your swim suit under your clothes before you go. The catamaran was very fun, I enjoyed the rum punch available on board. Snorkeling time is very limited, I think only about 30 minutes. Overall it was a fun tour, our family had a nice time, it just wasn't exactly what I had thought it would be based on the description.

Our tour guide Padia, was awesome! She was so knowledgeable and engaging about St. Lucia. The botanical gardens were beautiful and the volcano was a one of a kind experience. Our lunch at the banana plantation was delicious and plentiful and we made plenty of stops for photo ops and a little shopping. Only things that were great but less than spectacular was the catamaran in the afternoon. Apparently it was a brand new boat and still had some kinks to work out, and we left late. Also unfortunately it rained pretty much the entire time we were on the boat so the snorkeling was basically useless. Finally, we didn't see anything like the picture depicted on the our description so I'm not sure if that's just a stock photo or something. All in all, it was a great way to see the entire island.

Samuel- our tour guide and driver was very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant. He knew all the back roads and local attractions. From start to end our tour was filled with laughter and we actually made friends with two other couples. The volcano was amazing , beautiful waterfalls and the botanical garden was breathtaking. Catamaran sea tour was awesome, we got to see the beauty of this island from the sea. Highly recommend this tour

This was a great day. Saw a good part of the island. Drove through Castries. Stopped for a scenic view of the city from above looking down on the cruise ships. Went to the Botanical Gardens. The waterfall was very nice . Then had a buffet lunch at a outdoor place . Then went to the drive through volcano. It was very cool. Then drove to the boat for a ride on a catamaran and snorkeling. That was fun. After snorkeling it was like a party cruise, and the rum punch was flowing all the way back to Castries. Great day, and well worth it if you get a chance. The catamaran was full but was not overloaded.

We really enjoyed the land and sea tour. It was a very full day, but we got to see so much. Loved out tour guides, they were very informed and had a lot to share about the island. There was a slight mix up with the lunch, but they got it worked out and all were happy with the authentic Caribbean meal. If you get car sick easily, I wouldn't recommend as you are traveling by bus up and down the mountains of the island. Favorite parts were the botanical gardens and the snorkeling trip. Great trip overall!

Was a lot of fun! Knowledgable tour guides that wanted to make sure you had a great time. Lunch provided was delicious and scenic at "The Still" restaurant. Only recommendation would be to minimize the number of people on the catamaran sea portion. It was quite crowded with multiple tour groups.

A good (but fairly hectic) day out. They cram a lot into the morning, frequently stopping for various sights, views etc. before visiting the Botanic Gardens (beautiful) and Sulphur Springs at the volcano (a bit pongy but very interesting.) After lunch, by contrast, there is a leisurely sail back up the coast including a stop to swim off a small sandy cove. Our guide Sylvia, was a mine of information telling us lots about all things St. Lucian. A great way to see a lot of the Island and its major sights in one day.

The Tour guide was wonderfuland the Island is magnificent. My complaint would be that I booked the tour for Thursday January 24th and was told by the Representative at the hotel that we would only be able to go on the 23rd. It was a good job that I checked 2 days in advance or we may not have been able to have this tour.

I booked this tour for my parents as a gift while they were in St Lucia. Viator tour made sure they got the tickets at their hotel and picked the up and dropped them off, thank you. My parents came back and they cant stop talking about the AMAZING tour they had, they said the tour guides were great, the food was great and they even met new people on the boat where they were dancing and drinking and having a ball. They said it was so comfortable even though the tour was full of strangers they felt like family.. Thank you very much for showing my parents such a great time they loved it... Now I want to have that tour :) Money well spent :) Alice

Qianna S, Aug 2007
Our tour guide was really awesome and informative. He stopped at several places for use to try local fruit and bread. He gave as much info and history about his country as he could. He was always more than willing to stop and take a picture wherever we wanted. The trip was awesome and we got to see a lot of St. Lucia along the drive. The only thing that was not up to par was the restaurant that was chosen for lunch was horrible. I had lunch with another tour that was much better.

Wow, we had a great time touring St. Lucia with our guide and driver. They were extremely friendly, informative and willing to please in any way they could. The Cocoa Bean Plantation was an absolute treat, the food was amazing. Booking ahead of our trip meant not losing any beach time while we decided what excursions to book through the resort when we arrived, everything was taken care of. We WILL recommend this excursion to our friends and family.
