This whole tour was amazing. We loved exploring the lava tunnels and learning about Mount Etna. The wine and cheese pairing was delicious and the vineyard was beautiful. Special thanks to our tour guide Alex, who was kind enough to return my headphones which I left on the bus!

Fabulous trip. Would highly recommend. Alex our guide was very informative and very aware of the safety of the group. Nice that it was a small group of only 8 rather than some other Etna trips which had around 30. Highlight of our Sicilian holiday.

The tour guide Alex was so kind and knowledgeable about volcanos. You could tell her was very passionate about the experience and he also cared a lot about the safety of his tours. Gambino winery has amazing views and every better food and wine!

Quite possibly the best guided tour we’ve ever been on. What Alex doesn’t know about volcanoes and lava just isn’t worth knowing. His enthusiasm and easy way with everyone just makes this day such fun and so interesting from beginning to end. Communication prior to the tour was spot on with regard to pick up and just the best day. Wine tasting at Gambino vineyards was fabulous, great food, great wine and great value for money. Thankyou!

Alex was an excellent tour guide. He is immensely interested in and knowledgeable about volcanoes so he was a wealth of information. He was professional, courteous, friendly, and exactly the perfect amount of solicitous (we are older). He was clearly paying close attention to our safety and well-being, but it was low-key. If you take this tour I think you should try to get Alex as your guide.
I didn’t have the right shoes, but they had them to loan. They also offered extra jackets if we needed them. They had hiking sticks, helmets, and flashlights for us to use.
The winery visit was excellent. It included a tour of the facility and a fabulous feast, and many generous samples of good wine.
We were interested in both the volcano and the Etna wine, so it was a perfect tour for us.

Sabrina was wonderful in confirming all details with us before our excursion. Our driver, Andrea, was prompt, kind, courteous, super informative and a multi tasker! The man was driving a manual up the slopes of Etna while narrarating in English and Italian!
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Etna and the Gambino Winery.
