    Great tour! Our tour guide Gabrielle was great. He had so much knowledge and information about Chichen Itza and the whole area. He made the tour special and memorable by answering all our questions and taking some great photos. Two hours was the perfect amount of time. Highly recommend this tour.
    Awesome look into Mayan history

    Traveled with our kids aged 13 and 11. We got so much more out of our visit to Chichen Itza with our wonderful tour guide, Maria, than we would have on our own. Maria was excellent and super prepared with photos to explain different things about ancient Mayan culture and history. She really put all of the incredible sights into context and was great at answering questions and keeping us engaged. The tour was very well organized and they reached out in advance to give us detailed directions and tips. Tips: Definitely book first thing (8am) to avoid crowds and heat. We were done by about 11am. Hats/umbrellas and sunscreen are a must. If you're traveling from Quintana Roo (Tulum, Cancun), note that Chichen Itza is in a different time zone! This actually worked out well for us, because we had to get up early to make our 8am booking, but not quite as early as we would have if it was in the same time zone. There were no problems or tolls driving from Tulum, but watch out for the speed bumps and perros callejeros. :)

    The majestic legacy of the Maya is alive and well: the site is breathtaking ! Our guide Henry is a passionate descendant of the Maya people who shared many stories from his family and from his childhood spent in Chichen Itza! He was amazing at communicating and explaining every aspect of the site using photographs aa well as taking the time to dissect each name and many words in Maya. Henry was key in making the pyramid and surrounding buildings come to life. A beautiful experience into a very rich civilisation thanks to Henry!

    We had a great time with our guide Francisco! He was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions with wir and humour and did not rush as at all! (The whole tour lasted around 2h and we felt that Francisco explained everything and took us to all the important sites. He also taught us some Mayan language and told us that he is the fourth generation in his family working at Chichen Itza!) We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a professional guide around the site:)

    I can begin to tell you what a wonderful experience we had at Chichén-Itzá. Maria Pech provided a private tour for our family of five. There where many other groups of up to 30 people who appeared lost. Glad we went with a private tour. Maria is extremely knowledgeable in Mayan history. I loved her enthusiasm. She provided a tour where my kids were able to ask questions. Maria engaged us that time appeared to go by quickly. Honestly, she made our experience at Chichén-Itzá that much more meaningful. I highly recommend Maria 100%.

    They took excellent care of us and protected us from the many scams we might have fallen for! People will literally block the road waving red traffic flags, tell you the lot is full, etc. Just keep going! The lot is not full! We were able to park just feet from the entrance where Martin met us outside on the steps. He ferried us through the complicated entrance and always paused to talk in shaded places where we could sit. We were indeed there when crowds were minimal- we were able to take lots of photos with no one else in them! And Martin told us all kinds of fascinating stories about the ancient Maya, their technologies and beliefs, their strengths and structures. He was warm, charming, easy to understand. Thank you Martin!!! Definitely so much more interesting with a knowledgeable guide.

    We highly recommend this tour with Henry. Our kids are 10 and 13, and they were riveted the whole time. Henry makes the history come alive as a native Mayan speaker who learned about Chichen Itza from his grandparents while growing up in the next town. He engaged us all by asking questions so we could connect the knowledge he shared on our tour, including new archeological discoveries from five years ago. Henry brought color images and videos to make the past come to life. He knows the vendors and helped us find souvenirs crafted by artisans who use traditional methods and explained their techniques. Highly recommended! Could not have been a better family experience! Thank you, Henry!

    Our tour guide for the day was Martin. He was part Mayan by ethnicity and so brought in a lot of passion into the stories he told us about Chichen Itza. He answered a lot of questions that we posed to him about Mayan culture, history and the monument itself. There is no way we could have understood the intricate nuances of Chichen Itza without his inputs. Reasonably priced.
