      Enjoyable day trip to Montenegro

The tour guide Dino is very professional and took us to get the most beautiful scenery places and nice restaurant for us, many thanks for his excellent service
      Not worth the effort

Scenic drive through Montenegro but far much too time spent on the coach with poor guides and extremely long delays at border controls. Kotor was nice and the local guide enthusiastic. Trip ran over by 3 hours on an already very long day (7am to 9pm) and sadly was not a good use of our holiday time.

Thank you for review. Firstly I want to give you an advice to get yourself informed about the country you go or ask the agency what is the best time to go because in summer there is usually a big crowd on border. Maybe you should plan something else near the place you stayed, because it takes time to drive to Montengro and cross the border.

I was surprised to be picked up at 7.00 but the driver showed up a few minutes before to tell me that there was a problem with the bus and he could not get to montego. We agreed to take the tour on Friday August 18, it's my hope that plans do change again. This experience really messed up my plans 😕
      Response from Host, Aug 2023
Thank you for your review, but I do not really understand why are you giving a bad review for this tour when you did that tour, choose your own date of change and said it was good. Yes, bus was in technical problem and that can happen too. We do not choose that kind of things to happen and we do not like it also. I came to you and asked you to return you money and cancel tour, but you chose to take another date. I really do not understand your opinon, but I can bet that sometimes you also need to cancel your plans because it is something you can’t control or have affect on.

Such scenic views the whole way, be prepared for lots of stops and pick ups, should really have better system but the end destination made up for it, we ran away from the local guide naada as she really had nada to say of interest and was showing us unnecessary things such as the rocks in the buildings rather than the lovely view points which we discovered ourselves.

Kotor was my favourite part just wish we had more time there. After the guided walk, lunch and we walked up to the church of our lady of health, I would have liked to have had the time to of walked to the top and walk on the wall. Guide was great kept checking on us, very friendly.
      Great day tour

Everything we expected from our day trip came true, our host Dino was excellent and went above and beyond for us. The little town of Perast was beautiful and Kotor was a must see.

Unacceptable. We paid for a private small group tour and got shoved with 60 people in a bus. We were promised one thing and they never delivered. The only response we get is an “sorry”. No. Not acceptable for someone who PAID MORE for a private minivan. We are big into reading reviews so we read the reviews on this and it mention great group of 9 people. Well that was not the case for us unfortunately. You may wonder why is this such a big deal? Because 2 main things. 1. You cross international boarders and you have to wait in a BUS line that takes HOURS….. if I would have gotten my van that I was promised we would have breezed through the car lane with no line. 2. You stop at almost EVERY hotel for almost EVERY passenger on this huge bus. It’s like you are back in grade school. 75% of this tour is waiting around. I would find something else to do with your time. Apparently it’s a mystery tour, you won’t know what you will get….
      Response from Host, May 2023
I know that you are mad, but I suggest you to read all the things that are written under the tour at Tripadvisor. So, under this tour is written clear” tour is operated by bus, in case of small number of people it operates by mini van”.It depends on bookings for that day. So, I do not know why you are giving me wrong informations? Private tour is not 70€, you should check private tour and prices for that tour. I really do not know which bus can take 60 people, really? That is unbelieveable. I am sorry that you do not get your money back, but you booked and you got a tour that you booked. Thank you and have a nice day!
      Great tour

This is a great tour for the ones who are short in time and see as much as they can! Very smooth transit from borders, great tour guide Dino who makes a big difference! You have around 2 hour in old town of Kotor (which is more than enough) and you can see the Lady Rock too. Dino is super positive and informs you about the places you visit. Enjoy!
      Unmissable

Apart from the stunning scenery, the tour guide Hanna was superb with her extremely knowledgeable commentary and willingness to respond to the many questions put to her.

Dino the tour operator and guide contacted us the day before to tell us the pickup time from our hotel and was there on time the next morning to pick us up. The drive to Montenegro was very comfortable in fairly new 9 seater vehicle with 4 other passengers on the tour. Dino had arranged for a local guide to to show us around the town of Kotor. The weather wasn’t to good for it was raining heavily. When the tour of the town had finish we had some time to explore the town on our own. We then met Dino at an agreed meeting point and he then drove us to stop for lunch at a lovely restaurant which he recommended that did good local cuisine at a very reasonable price. The lunch at the restaurant was excellent and everyone enjoyed it. We then stopped to see Our Lady of the Rocks is one of the two islets off the coast of Perast in the Bay of Kotor. There were no boats to take us there due to the bad weather and been off season. Dino then used his contacts to arrange a boat to get us there which was very much appreciated by all and was the highlight of the trip. Dino our driver and guide was very knowledgeable about the region and a safe driver. He made it a very memorable day for us and I would highly recommend using him if you want to see Croatia. We then used him two days later to drop us off at the airport. Thank you Dino and I will definitely contact you the next time we are in Croatia.

It was a shame that on the day it was raining and in some cases so hard it was like a stream where we walked. The guide who took us was a bit hard to hear because of the rain and she seemed quite nervous and talked quickly so we missed a bit of what she was saying. Driver who took us there was lovely very informative and a good driver
      Wonderful day in Montenegro

The small old town of Kotor was beautiful. Perast was also a picturesque place. The tour guide was kind and helpful. He was punctual and professional.
Dino makes the day tip a winner!

Having Dino as our tour guide made all the difference in the wonderful day we had He gave us a sense of the history and also helped us with a wonderful restaurant recommendation . We went in January and had no issues with traffic would not recommend doing in the summer months

Dino is a gem! We came to Dubrovnik between Xmas and NYE and we knew that a lot of places were closed due to the holidays. But, we were able to find a day tour to Montenegro with Dino! He took good care of us! He picked us up from our hotel on time and he drove us in a very comfortable vehicle. He has a dynamic personality - very hospitable and super funny. He shared a lot about Southern Croatian culture and how the country has changed. He is very approachable and you can ask him any question about Croatia and the history with neighboring countries. We were on the tour together for about 9 hours … and it did not feel long. He made the tour entertaining. Can’t recommend Dino and I am so happy that I made a new connection in Dubrovnik! Tour Logistics: You have to cross 2 borders: Croatian first and then Montenegro… and since it was winter, it was very easy (versus if you go during the summer where you can find yourself in a very long line… maybe for hours). We stopped by a gas station to get coffee/breakfast and to use the bathroom. We arrived to Kotor, Montenegro where we were able to roam independently for about 2 hours. It is a very small city (smaller than Dubrovnik). We used Google maps to navigate. If you go during the winter months, things will be closed… but there was still people walking around and cafes/shops open. Dino took us to Our Lady of Rocks (admission is optional). Then Dino took us to lunch. It took us a few tries to find a place that was open (again, businesses close down for the holidays)… but Dino was determined to make sure we were all fed (including himself). He took us to a very nice local Croatian spot outside of Dubrovnik. Our tummies were happy.
