Amazing tour, with a difference. The music played as we walked thro the town, very eclectic. The information gave a very human element to the history tour, brought the place to life as it must have been in times gone by. His love of the area comes thro clearly and he loves this job!

We were slightly late(5 minutes) because the tender from the ship took longer than normal. I tried to phone the guy but couldn't get through, so there was no way to contact him. We tried to find the group and retried ringing him with no luck. So we didn't do the walk.

A great way to discover Falmouth

You can appreciate a place without knowing it history, but knowing a little of its past and people really helps bring it to life. Will clearly loves Falmouth, his passionate and enthusiastic narration of the towns history was contagious. Part origins story, part life, a smidgen of gore and a dusting of music made a thoroughly entertaining 90 mins. A must for those visiting Falmouth and a why not for those who live there.

We enjoyed Pirate Will’s stories and history information about Falmouth. He shared pictures of Falmouth from the 1500s. and also shared the history of the Kilgrew family and pyramid. A special treat was his musical talent playing the accordion. He was entertaining and used a mic so he was easily heard.

Will is extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned a lot about the town and the people in it. I liked that the tour was inclusive didn't whitewash history. Will's enthusiasm for Falmouth is infectious and I saw everything through his eyes while we explored that evening!

A fun, interesting and very enjoyable tour of Falmouth with lots of great stories about it’s very vibrant history. We learned a lot despite having being regular visitors to Falmouth for many years. It’s amazing the things you miss without a guide. Would thoroughly recommend!

We had a great tour of Falmouth with Will, very informative and we learned loads about the town. Will was very polite, courteous, knowledgable and very enthusiastic about his surroundings. Some tours just give you dates and facts until they come out of your ears, Will did give us facts but also told stories of old at the same time which helped bring the place to life and gave us what we felt was a true feel for the place, warts and all. Fascinating history, fascinating place and I am sure fascinating people over the years. It’s a benefit to Falmouth that it didn’t expand and become a sprawling giant, which it could well have done, because remaining the size it is helps maintain its charm and perhaps romantic qualities. I would go further than recommending you try Will and his tour, I would say it’s a must if you go to Falmouth and want to know more in the company of a great person. No, I am not related to him, nor have I been paid to say this! LOL it really was that good. Oh, one more thing, he dresses as a pirate which is great for the kids.
