We visited 3 great wineries and also squeezed in an unscheduled chocolate tasting which made us overrun on our tour length, however Michelle happily accommodated our request, she was patient and knowledgeable and went out of her way to make sure everyone had a great time!

This was my wife's and mine first time doing a wine tasting. The driver did an excellent job explaining what we were doing work. He did tell us by the end of the day. Everybody on the bus would be great friends and it turned out we were.

We really enjoyed this trip! It was a wonderful group of people and by the second winery we all became close a close-knit group. All three wineries were totally different and had a unique vibe. Steven was really good fun. All around a wonderful way to spend a day in Fredericksburg.

I wouldn't recommend booking this trip unless you've first confirmed the winery stops. Of our 3 stops, only one was actually at a winery (and there are really nice wineries everywhere). Our first stop was a road side tasting room which was fine but if I wanted a tasting room I would stay on main street and not pay for a tour with transportation. The second stop was at a metal shed that sells wines from California! Not like grapes shipped in from there...like bottled wine from California. Essentially a retail outlet for a winery in Monterrey CA. The wine was great...of course...it's from CA but on a TX wine tour I'd like to drink TX wines. The last stop was a nice winery...no complaints there. I just expected three stops like that. The transportation was a nice coach and the sandwiches and salad for lunch were good. No issue with our driver Adrian. Nice guy. We had a decent time but just not what we expected.

Thank you for your candid review. We love requests from our guests and welcome contact about the wineries. To clarify, you visited three licensed wineries but only one had an on-site vineyard. You took our Wine Tasting Tour that focuses on wine tastings from the top 20% of the 100 or so wineries in the area (so about 20 different wineries are on our list for this specific tour). Wineries chosen for this small group tour are based on wine tasting quality, time of year, and the wine style preferences of our guests.
Your first stop was at Texas Heritage, one of the most outstanding and awarded Texas wines. Their vineyard is local but it's a working farm and the only place to taste their wines is this location or in a select few fine dining restaurants such as Cabernet Grill. Your second stop was Freedom Cellars. Their winery is brand new to Texas but their wines are consistently enjoyed by our guests and on our tasting list for top quality wines. Their small facility is on a hillside property outside of Hye Texas - and not easily discovered without a guide. And last, you visited Barons Creek. They have a small vineyard in front of their lovely buildings and their wines are from Texas, California and Spain.
The Tasting Tour is focused on the Top 20% of quality wines offered in our area, but time of year also is important. It's December and the vineyards are dormant and pruned. No grapes to see, and nothing in production as it's already been processed in the fall months. When the vineyards are green and grapes are growing, we focus on local growers.
Fredericksburg Tours LLC offers several choices of Wine Tour experiences - Boutique wine tour, or popular and attractive venues visited on our Wine Trolley, or production and vineyard tours based on the season. Anyone interested can reach out to us directly for more information on our wine tours and we will help you choose your experience based on your expectations.

Nice wineries and loved the unique town of Fredericksburg.great German food and a German bakery.We stayed close to downtown and walked to Main Street from our hotel.

The company text me and kept me updated when it appeared it was going to be canceled due to low interest on Sunday. Thankfully it was a go and so awesome. Barry is the best driver! The wineries were nice! Bingham and Slate were our favorite! We even got a membership at Bingham! Not only tasting but we also saw the production of wine. This tour was just as fun as the one I went to in Napa Valley! Plus it's they picked us up in a Mercedes Van!Highly recommend!
