Please arrive 30 minutes before departure time for check in. Check in at our floating office at the end of the long wooden pier. When you turn onto Simmons Rd. you will make your first right into our parking lot. Then you will walk down the wooden pier, turn left, walk to the Island Head office.

Party Island, not impressed.

The Ferry ride was enjoyable both directions. Daufuskie Island was a bust for me, roads sucked driving a golf cart dodging rough pot holes, the winery was nothing but a stand, road signs were hard to read and not placed where you could see them clearly, the light house was a house for the light house keeper of days past. I returned the the golf cart and wanted to eat at the crab company, for what was ordered we waited at least about an hour for 2 tacos, and a crab cake. This was probably a great place to party, not my idea of a great time. I left 2 hours early. I wouldn't recommend to anyone not wanting to party. Spent too much money on this excursion.

Reliable Transport to Daufuskie

The boat departed on time in both directions. Boats seemed very safe, and the crew was personable. A good way to get to Daufuskie Island. One thing: the return time was earlier than advertised on the website, but we were fine with returning to HH Island earlier.

What a great time we had discovering the island. It was like traveling back in time. The people were great and Arden, our captain was very thoughtful and offered lots of insights as we crossed the water. I don’t think we learned as much as we would have had we taken a tour but we sure had fun, in spite of the rain!

Daufuskie Island Self-touring Day Trip

Awesome off-season trip to the island. Took the 9:00 AM trip over, rented a golf cart and did our own touring. Full day definitely worth it and we still didn't see everything! Lost our way several times and couldn't find some places. Play the larger than life Connect Four at the Daufuskie Island Distillery while enjoying a libation and some eats! We will most certainly be back!

I appreciated the concern of the company that the water was a little choppy so for the comfort of 9 customers they used a much larger boat than necessary. Very smooth ride as a result of this decision.

My friend and I have wanted to do this outing for a while. This just happened to be the opportune time for each of us. From reservations, the night before, to check-in, the ferry to Daufuskie was fantastic! Captain, Arden, and his helper, Wes, were very accommodating. They even offered my friend and myself their personal jackets to make us more comfortable for the chilly ride to Freeport. We stopped along the way to view dolphins. I would highly recommend Island Head on Simmons Road for your ferry to Daufuskie!

Enjoyed the island and being able to ride around on the golf cart and see the area without being in a big group. The one thing I was not happy with was the actual ferry. Not a big fan of fast moving boats, so disappointed in seeing pictures of one ferry when I made my reservations and then having to ride in a different type. Otherwise the trip is worth it.
