Guide explaining detail, easy to understand and in a friendly way
Guide took time to find us the elephants, eventhough we did not see a lot of animals but the ride to the park felt like a real safari.

Seeing a few herds of elephants and gaur in the wild and not in a petting zoo (seemingly the replacement for riding elephants these days) is a great experience. Eventually hopefully this will become the only way to view wildlife.
Apart from a broken suspension part on the transit vehicle (replacement vehicle arranged) all went well.

A nice trip to a beautiful National Park, all very well organised by our guide Pom. We got to see a total of 7 elephants (although 3 of them only for a couple of seconds), lovely to see in their natural environment. We also saw herds of wild cattle. We stopped off at a roadside cafe for an evening meal - the food was very nice, but probably would be better if they waited until you arrived before putting on the table. Pick up and collection were punctual, overall around 6 hours round trip from Hua Hin

We were lucky to see a whole
Herd of elephants in the meadow afar. Our guide Bobbie was excellent. He provides binoculars too. We saw 17 elephants.

Guys....do NOT expect an African style safari,where you drive around in a jeep seeing stacks of animals ! We saw nothing until we drove to a vantage point,got out with stacks of other vehicles and people,and walked to a spot,where we saw a couple of elephants from a distance and then saw a herd of Gaur....from a long way away,and needed binoculars just to see them.The park itself was beautiful,and you do see the animals i mentioned....but it was from a distance and on foot....so not an amazing safari....but.....it was not awful either.

Dear Guest. We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with our tour as you wanted a safari as expected in Africa. In Thailand, there are still many wild animals in national parks, but there is no guarantee how many of these animals you will see. For your own safety, we also keep our distance from these animals and when we offer these tours, we do not want to disturb the animals in their habitual environment. Anyway, thank you for booking.

It was great to see the elephants and gaurs in their natural habbit. You get pickup in your hotel by a minivan. have a lovely trip through the surroundings of Hua Hin.
In the park they put you in a puckuptruck and you et a pair of binoculars. Then you drive through the park. There are 2 spots where you can see the most animals and where you stop longtime. And then you go back.
The food on the way back was good too.
It would have been 5 stars if the guide was more informative. he was a very nice guy, but we had to ask him for the information all the time instead him sharing it upfront.

1h30 de route depuis Hua Hin pour se rendre dans une « réserve »où il n’y a pas d’animaux.
L’excursion se résume donc à une balade en jeep dans la réserve où l’on vous fait patienter à deux points de vue sur une plaine. Après 10 minutes d’attente, notre guide nous indique un troupeau d’animaux (visible qu’avec des jumelles!). Lorsque nous regardons, il s’agit de 4 bœufs (super) ! Nous serions bien partis plus tôt puisqu’il n’y avait rien à voir mais pas possible car l’excursion est chronométré avec un temps bien défini à chacun des deux points de vue.
Au retour vous faites un arrêt dans un petit restaurant de bord de route avec un ensemble de plats typiques. En résumé 3 heures de route À/R plus 1h30 de jeep/pause aux points de vue et un restau durant 30 minutes.
Quand on connaît le coût d’un grab et d’un repas en Thaïlande, l’excursion est inintéressante et bien trop chère !
Seul côté positif, la guide vraiment adorable.

I regret that the trip to the National Park did not meet your expectations. Perhaps a different excursion would have been more enjoyable. Booking a visit to the Wildlife Rescue Center or the zoo might have been preferable, as these places guarantee animal sightings, albeit behind bars. In the wild, there is no certainty of spotting animals or predicting their numbers. Observing wild elephants can be hazardous, which is why they are viewed from a safe distance. The animals you referred to as oxen are actually a type of water buffalo, a species that nearly vanished 30 years ago but has since made a comeback. They are now found in only three countries worldwide, including here in Kuiburi National Park. Regarding the cuisine, I'm saddened to hear you found the Thai food merely 'typical.' When in Thailand, one might expect to experience the local fare, which other guests have enjoyed.

Skuffende oplevelse. Alt for meget kørsel for så lidt oplevelse. Vi så nogle elefanter, meget langt væk. Der var 2 udkigspladser, men ingen af stederne var det muligt at se/låne/leje kikkert. Vores turguide var vældig flink, men han manglede fuldstændig struktur, så vi var forberedte på næste træk.
Alt i alt, så var det alt for mange penge for så lidt.
