John is the perfect tour guide! He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Island and will take you to many wonderful places. The Isle of Man has historic sites from Neolithic to Vikings to Steam Trains from the 1800s. This tour shows you castles, museums about vikings and so much more. If you are going to the Isle of Man this tour is a must!

John is an outstanding guide and this was simply the best way to tour with someone who loves the Isle of Man! We had an amazing day (even in the rain) to start our vacation! If you want to learn about the history of the island and see amazing sites, this is a can't miss tour! We also got to visit John at the Viking Village on Tynwald Day and my grandson(4) is still talking about meeting a real viking!

John was knowledgeable and told many wonderful stories. We saw many parts of the island that a tourist could not travel to independently. I learnt a great deal about the Isle of Man. The time passed very quickly.

The words amazing and excellent certainly describe our day with John. We were so unaware of the history of the Isle of Man and learnt so much, and in a way that left us wanting to know more. The highlights were probably learning about the Viking connection and the Tynwald and the traditions surrounding it, that still play a part in the local way of doing things. John sang the anthem for us, then played it on the bagpipes, when we visited the Chapel of St. John by Tynwald Hill, bringing the history and traditions to life for us. We saw points of interest, stopping at many of them, and John was always knowledgable about the castles, churches, landmarks... Manx Loghtan 4-horned Sheep! He could not show us around all the museums and castles in one day, but introduced us to them so we could determine where we might like to visit on our own after the tour. Alas, we only had 3 days, so will have to return, and would not hesitate to arrange for John to be our guide again. Transport was very comfortable, and comfort and refreshment stops were planned well. THANK YOU John, and Viator
