Overview

Take an exciting ride through Sandy Bay on an ATV (all-terrain vehicle) during this 2-hour adventure from Negril or Montego Bay. What To Expect

Following pickup at your hotel in Negril or Montego Bay, board a comfortable coach or minibus for the ride to Sandy Bay.

Arrive at the safari ranch and listen to a short orientation and safety briefing from your expert guide. Watch an ATV-riding demonstration and get to know the basics of how to operate one, then don your helmet for a practice lap. Once you're comfortable on the 4-wheeled, all-terrain vehicle, set off into the lush landscape with your guide.

Ride through the Blue Hole Estate, pass Cascade in the parish of Hanover, and continue past the farming village of Smithfield. At one of the island’s oldest Presbyterian churches, pause to explore and learn about its history. Rev it up the nearby slopes to a mountain viewpoint, at 2,200 feet (670m) above sea level. Make sure to have your camera on hand for spectacular photo ops.

Splash through puddles, speed past citrus plantations, roar up and down hills and bump along the twisting dirt trails. Along the way, discover some of Jamaica’s native flora and fauna, and hear from your guide how some plants are used in the island’s traditional herbal remedies.

Return to the safari ranch for lunch and drinks (own expense) at the conclusion of your 2-hour ride. Board the minibus for the return journey to your Negril or Montego Bay hotel.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

This was my 1st time atv riding. Had fun, but most of it was going in a circle. Didn't get as muddy as I wanted. Not too many nice backgrounds for pics either.

Chukka is the #1 experience in Jamaica if you want to ATV, horseback in the ocean, zipline or river rafting …. THE BEST! The staff is SO much fun. So funny, real cool mon! I go every time I come to Jamaica’! The bus ride to each excursion is even an experience (for me it was) I will be back!

We were denied service because someone in our group looked over 300 pounds! No one weighed us! It was embarrassing and degrading. The manager Delroy was the worse! Constantly walking away while talking to us, then left us standing up while we saw him eating! Absolutely disgusting

Did the ATV tour booked for 2pm. Contacted Chukka the day before to find out the pickup time for our hotel. Was told it was 1215pm. We were in the lobby until almost 1pm after finally being able to reach someone. They told us they already picked guests at our hotel when they never stopped by, we never moved from the front. Eventually once we got there had a to wait a little while to go with the second group. My atv immediately broke down just a minute into starting the tour. After that once we got going it was pretty fun but it never last more than a few minutes, atv’s in the group keep breaking down. More time was spent stopped doing nothing while they tried to get them running. Bus ride back to the hotel is at 5pm so it waisted a whole day. Tour guide was nice at least but over all would not recommend.

We were never picked up...

We were never picked up and ot was my husband and I anniversary I'm very upset our trip was ruined was gonna get to see some of Jamaica but it didn't happen we stayed on a resort so we didn't get to taste any real food from out the resort I want money back plus some for ruining our trip plus I jad to pay 25 cents a min was on phone 13 mins 3nd time this has happened booking with yall 🤬😡

Our CHUKKA ATV experience was amazing!!! When we first arrived there was a bad thunderstorm. Once the storm passed over the fun began!!! The ATV guides were very patient and educated us very well on how to drive. This excursion is a must. You will enjoy!

Much needed relaxation

So, some how we were told that we were on the wrong bus, but no other bus came to the resort. We ended up at a different location and were able to pick an alternative excursion with lunch. The rafting experience was amazing and super relaxing. Thinking back I think this level of relaxation and closeness to nature was more needed than the thrill of an ATV! The only complaint is the wait to leave after we returned from the river. We had to wait about 1.5 hours before the bus returned.

Horrible experience I paid in full for my Atv Excursion and got canceled by the tour operator which I completely understand but the tour operator or Viator hasn't refunded my money and lack of communication from Viator and the tour operator...Totally unacceptable
