This tour is not suitable for passengers with mobility scooters or traveling with wheelchairs. Only light, foldable wheelchairs can be accommodated. Private tours with wheelchair-adapted vehicles can be arranged.
The route of the tour and time spent in Paris is subject to the ship’s docking times, traffic, special events, and any other circumstances out of our control. Please note we will not be able to provide a refund if the touring time must be shortened because of any of the above

Visiting the Eiffel Tower: Our standard itineraries do not include an opportunity to visit the Eiffel Tower's interior. During the high season, it is recommended to allocate at least 1.5 to 2 hours for the entire Eiffel Tower experience, even with a skip-the-line ticket. This is due to the time required for security checks, ascent, and descent. Our two tour options allocate 15-30 minutes at the Eiffel Tower. If you wish, you may visit the Eiffel Tower independently and rejoin the tour by taxi later. However, please note that you'll need to locate the tour group on your own, as shared tours follow a predetermined route and cannot be delayed for individuals. We generally advise against going up the Eiffel Tower during our tour, as it may consume most of your time in Paris on a busy day. For a more personalized experience, we offer customizable guided private or semi-private tours with licensed Parisian guides who can create your perfect itinerary including inside visits. If interested, please contact us for a quote.
Please note guests should be comfortable with walking for up to 20 minutes at a time. While we strive to accommodate everyone, the unique conditions of the Olympics mean the tour may not be suitable for individuals with severe mobility restrictions.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Long Drive for a Short Visit

The trip on Seine River was great. I would only recommend if you have never been to Paris before. It's a very long bus ride to only spend a few hours in the city. We had less time than normal due to the heavy pre-Olympics traffic. Our Guide Martin, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He brought us all fresh croissants and sent us back to the ship with a taste of champagne - which was very thoughtful.

Great Paris Highlights Excursion from Le Havre, France

We had a safe 3-hour ride into Paris and back (driver: Gustav?). Our tour guide, Martin and assistant, Amir were very pleasant and informative. We were dropped off near the base of the Eiffel Tower, great for pictures. As the first tour of the season, we were given a lunch and a free 1-hour ride on an enclosed riverboat on the Seine River - a great way to see many landmarks of the city, including the Notre Dame Cathedral from a distance. We drove down the Champs-Elysees with the Arc de Triomphe in front of us, and had time to shop for souvenirs and take closeup pictures of the Arc de Triomphe. Great excursion! Great directions to find start of tour.

A great experience in Paris

We are very happy with the overall experience with Viator. Martin, our tour guide is very knowledgeable and seems to have a vast knowledge about Paris. Although "Island Princess" cruise disembarked late in La Havre, the bus waited for us. The instructions you received in the email from Viator local associate were pretty clear and accurate of how to get to the bus. You just follow the instructions to the "gate" where a rep from Viator with a clipboard sign will greet you and show you the bus. They will ask you to take a picture of the bus including the license plate because all the busses look very much alike. Just do so for your own sake. The majority of the time spent on the tour, unfortunately is the transportation ride between the cruise port and Paris. The guide joined us late at the Eiffel Tower and ended at Arc de Triomphe. So the total guided tour around the city is about 2 hours. The rest of the time at Arc de Triomphe stop is for lunch on your own or shopping time which in our opinion is not sufficient. We only had time to take a quick bite and spent the rest of the time visiting high-end stores in the area (Champ-Elysees) without much time left to do the shopping.

Racist van driver

The bus trip was comfortable & educational. The driver even assisted me by taking my photo. He was friendly and personable. The van driver left a bad taste in my mouth. He phoned a couple in the lobby. I had to ask if he was from Viator. He never returned the “Good morning”. Just took my bags. I asked if he was picking anybody else and could I sit up front. He said no to bother questions. Then too my surprise he picked up a women and escorted her to the front. I asked if he had a problem with having a Ni___r up front with him? He didn’t respond. I explained to the other passengers what happened. 🙁

We had a great time. Martin our tour guide was super knowledgeable about all of Paris and France in general. We also, had a little extra time so he took us to places that weren't originally on the itinerary, which was great because we got to see more of Paris. He also had someone shadowing him named kats and she was very nice also.

Our guide was wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and had seen Paris. We were taken to all the tourists stops and were given ample time to see and take pictures. We went to lunch in the cutest spot and the food was excellent.

An amazing experience. It was so well organized. We had an hour and a half to spend on our own plus enough time at the Eiffel Tower. All this and we were back on the ship by 7 Our bus driver was so good He planned the stops strategically to avoid the crowds so we could be in Paris on time. Would definitely recommend it!!

Paris -too much bus time

too much time on a bus. This is a long trip from port (which we understood). We were supposed to have time for shopping or a sit down lunch and we had 40 minutes. 2 other stops dropping off people doing different tours. It was an 11 hour day and basically 1 hour off broken up. Too much money for what we got.

We understand that you were hoping for more time for shopping or a sit-down lunch, but it's important to note that you booked our guided sightseeing shore excursion, which focuses on providing a comprehensive tour of Paris rather than prioritizing shopping and dining opportunities. We acknowledge that there may have been some confusion regarding the tour you booked and the expectations you had. The tour you selected and have reviewed specifically does not include an extended amount of time for shopping or a sit-down meal. However, we do offer another tour, our Paris: Sightsee, Shop, and Dine tour, which provide more time for those activities but features a shorter tour of Paris itself and does not go to Notre Dame or the Latin Quarter. On days when traffic conditions are favorable, we can provide a longer break of approximately an hour. However, on other days when traffic is heavy or unpredictable, we can only manage a shorter break of around 40 minutes to maintain the integrity of the itinerary and ensure we cover all the planned attractions. We appreciate your feedback and apologize for any disappointment caused. We will take your comments into consideration as we continuously strive to improve our services. Martin was a wonderful guide as keeping attention for tourists isnt the easiest of jobs. His intertwining of Star Wars references and Parisian history was very well done. The croissants were a very nice touch as well. Overall enjoyed at least getting an overview on this magnificent city. Embarking from Le Havre was a bit time consuming, but I felt that being so close to Paris it had to be done. Bring snacks for the journey.

Dear Velvet, Thank you for your feedback. Due to a general shortage of buses and drivers in France this season, on this day we operated with a bus company we had not worked with previously. We were not informed of any issues in advance. Had we known there were problems with the buses, we would have made alternative arrangements. As you can imagine I was very troubled upon discovering the problems you mentioned. We have since spoken with this company to let them know that we are extremely upset with them and that we will not cooperate with a company that cannot provide buses in proper working condition. Our top priority is the safety, comfort and satisfaction of our guests and it breaks our heart that due to one of our partners not keeping up their end of the deal we were unable to provide this. This isolated incident is certainly not reflective of the quality of tours we typically offer, as indicated by our many positive reviews. We have been able to provide a great tour of Paris to hundreds of happy customers this season, and we are thoroughly upset that on this one day our partners ruined the occasion. Chance to get a glimpse of Paris

When I saw the prices the cruise line wanted for a Paris excursion, I almost freaked. I wasn't really sure how this excursion would turn out, but figured it was a reasonable way to at least see Paris. Yes, it is a 3 hour bus ride but we had a restroom stop each way at a very nice and clean gas station/gift shop. Once we arrived in Paris, we were met by a local guide who brought us fresh pastries. The bus driver did a great job driving the narrow and crowed streets. We were able to stop for some photos and had an hour at the Champs Elysees. Time did not permit a lot, but we were very pleased to see as much as we did.

This was only the second time for this tour. Highly recommend this company. Sebastian and Kareen (sp) planned well. There were a series of 6 stops allowing us 15 minutes at each. The last stop was longer so we could get a bite to eat. Historical info interesting and good quick overview of the city of light. Very conscious of time and arrived back at port with plenty of time to spare before ship departed.

Long boring day with just a very quick taste of Paris

The escort that met us at the boat didn’t give us any info about France, Paris or the areas we were passing through on our way to Paris. This made for a very boring uninformed three hour ride to and from Paris. When we got there, our actual Paris guide, Thierry, greeted us at the Eiffel Tower stop with some lovely croissants. He was a good guide, but due to construction and traffic, we didn’t get our stop at Les Invalides as advertised. Then fighting our way through Paris traffic, we really got very little in the way of sights. We just circled around the Arc did Triomphe for 15 min instead of a quick stop for photos which could have been done. Then Thierry got off the bus and another boring ride back to Le Havre. We did get a 45 min stop near the Notre Dame cathedral for a quick bite and souvenir stop. That was the best part of a very long boring day. But we were on our own to make the fun. I’ve been to Paris before, for several days, but it was a first time for my companion. Will make a special trip back to Paris for several days sometime. It’s the only way to experience Paris

Fun and Laughs in Paris

The most memorable part of our experience was Paris, itself. The experience itself would not have been complete without the wit, knowledge and warmth of our tour guide Amber. Amber was a wealth of knowledge on Paris, and delivered it with great comic delivery, she was an absolute delight. Sébastien our other guide who provided us with a great overview of the Normandy region of France, as well as Le Harve. Much like Amber, he ditched the monotone delivery of most tour guides and provided us with a very entertaining version of all things educational, customary as well as pointers we will surely take to heart on future trips to France.. What many people fail to mention when reviewing their experience is that of their driver. Our driver, was very professional, courteous and kept the safety of his passengers as his top priority. Overall, there is nothing negative that I can point out. Instead I can only encourage future traveler to consider using this top notch service.
