What To Expect
Spend a day immersed in the geologic wonders and relaxing hot springs of Arenal. After morning pickup at your Guanacaste hotel, ride in a comfortable air-conditioned coach and enjoy a provided breakfast en route to Arenal Volcano National Park. Join your knowledgeable guide on a leisurely hike around the base of the volcano. Rest assured that trails are carefully chosen for visitor safety.
Learn about the geologic history of this seismic wonder and make your way through the lush greenery of the surrounding forest, where your guide will help you spot interesting plant species and native wildlife. Admire panoramic views of the volcano from a distance.
Relax after your hike with a therapeutic soak at nearby Hot Springs. When hunger strikes, enjoy lunch (included) at the on-site restaurant. As dusk falls over Arenal, take in an enchanted atmosphere of steamy pools and emerging stars with views of the volcano in the distance.
Bask in your relaxed, blissful state on the ride back to your Guanacaste area hotel in the evening.

LOTS of time in the car, little time outside enjoying the activities. The van was over half an hour late picking us up and they tried to play catchup the whole time. You have two places to enjoy the rainforest for a very short trail and the hot springs which is part of a hotel. We left the hot springs an hour early to make our way back. Not a bad tour, expensive and very little time out of the van.

Long ride but worth every penny. Great guide in Franco and speedy return with Armando. You get many rest stops and the hike is slightly inclined.

This was the best trip ever!! The tour guide is awesome and even though it is a long drive it’s so worth it - the hike isn’t long but the forests are so lush and the hanging bridges are awesome. The hot springs were an actual dream with a breathtaking view. Absolutely recommend 10000%!!

My trip was in early Jan of 2024. My tour guide was Juan and he was fantastic. He really knew his stuff and explained a lot about the weather conditions of CR and interesting growth that happens as a result of the wet and dry forest and such and what makes vegetation in the region so unique. Everything included on the tour was beautiful and really made for such a great experience.
Because we stayed at the Westin Resort, it was quite a drive to get out to our destinations, especially the way back because of the traffic. Without traffic it would have taken approx 4 hours to get back from the hot springs, but it actually took closer to 5.
