We really enjoyed our tour! Would 100% recommend! Definitely bring a fitted swimsuit to wear under your wetsuit, and make sure to bring a towel for drying off! It’s super cold, and the water was very rough, causing a few to be seasick. However, it’s still completely worth it. Our guide Ismael was amazing; he even got in the water with us! Javier, the boat captain, was a great driver. Pick up and drop off at our hotel was included, as well as tea/coffee at the beginning and snacks/water bottle at the end.

Bad customer service
Sunita_J, Mar 2024
Trip was canceled due to fog! I asked for a refund and have not heard back from the travel agency!!!!! Meanwhile I keep getting so many messages to write a review. That’s bad customer service. Viator please look into the matter and resolve.
Response from Host, Mar 2024
Hello, sorry, we have already made the refund. You can also do it yourself from your page. By leaving a negative comment it harms us since you never provided the service.
Deceiving ad: we got a 2.5 hour tour instead of 4 hours.

This is a nice experience, HOWEVER do not book with this company, at this price because you will be overcharged. This experience is listed as a 4-hour tour (6 hours in total, including travel time). We did NOT get a 4 hour tour, we got a 2.5-hour tour which is listed on Viator with other companies for HALF the price we paid with America Viajes (tour company). The tour itself was okay, the boat was good (NOT a yacht), the guide was knowledgeable and the views were beautiful. Make sure you take motion sickness medicine before the trip if you have a sensitive stomach, the waters beyond the island are rough! Thanks to the wetsuits, the water won't be as cold when you jump in. The sea lions did not swim with us but it was still cool being so close to them.
Response from Host, Sep 2023
According to availability we gave them the ride in a speedboat, but if we have yachts, they were not available that day. The problem is because they did not get a refund from us, but the tour is the same, only the yacht takes a little longer to arrive
Good trip!

Brown people time! (My family is from India and we joke that NOTHING begins on time!) -Tour was scheduled for pick up at 9am -Contacted by company the day before that pick up would be 10:15am -I was picked up at 9:45am (Glad I was ready!) We had to pick up a coupld in a different district. We arrived at the port by 11:00am. Then were we told the sailing would begin by 11:30am. I went for a walk. We took at small boat at 11:45am over to the bigger boat. Boarding a boat from a boat is not easy, so be award of this small challenge. We were off by 12:00pm. The boat was very roomy with lots of space. I never felt crowded. There were only 6 tour passengers. The tour guide (I think his name was Carlo...I apologize for not clearly hearing his name) and the driver. We arrived at Palomino Island at 1:30pm. The waters were rough, so bring sea sickness meds or bands. I took the dramamine Carlo offered. It helped. The air was crisp, so bring something warm. Once at the island, there were hundreds of sea lions! The smell was pungent! Carlo provided a wet suit and helps you into it. He went into the water with us and brought a life buoy. Since the water was choppy, I did not feel comfortable getting too close to the island, fearful of crashing into the ricks. I am a VERY strong swimmer, but the current was too overwhelmingly stong. I enjoyed being in the water, but only stayed about 20 minutes because of the huge waves. Once back in the boat, you are helped out of the wet suit and given privacy to change. Bring warm clothes! I was very cold on the 1.5 hour return ( and actually caught a cold). Arrived back at port about 3:00pm. Again, we got into a smaller boat to take us to shore. I arrive back at my hotel in Miraflores at 4:30pm. Bring your own water. No snacks were provided. Bring a plastic bag to put your wet swimsuit in. Bring a towel and change of clothes. The trip was great. I would recommend if you want to get int he ocean with a possibility of swimming with sea lions!

good morning, we are pleased that you have detailed everything and that you liked the tour, the 3-star rating confuses us a bit, if there is something to improve you can let us know
Such an exciting, memorable day!

Incredible once in a lifetime experience... Host picked us up friendly helpful took us on 2 boat rides out to an area I can only describe as a movie set stunning landscapes... seeing penguins, sea lions swimming in front of us..Incredible.. When we finally got to our site where we would be swimming ...a little bit of apprehension it was very cold the water was freezing ..shock to the system when you 1st get in, like needles and then your body eventually goes numb and it's the most amazing wonderful experience I've ever had... Feeling like one with nature was incredible.... Everything was very well done very pleasant and helpful host/ tour guide.. Jumped in the water with us took photos explain things made it very enjoyable.. Downside is I wish I would have brought more warm clothes for after the swim going back wet back wet was a little uncomfortable but that was all on me .. Lunch was provided boat trip was very nice would highly recommended.. Great value for your money on this once in a lifetime experience
Day with the seals
genevieve_m, Aug 2022
The experience is what it’s promised to be you see lots of seals, birds, penguins. Tour includes pick up but not drop off? We somehow missed that so be aware you need to find your own transportation back. Wet suits came to mid thigh not all the way to ankles and were def pretty worn. Still a fun day just make sure you realize these things.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
We appreciate your comments, but our driver was waiting for you for about 1 hour and you did not arrive, all the other passengers who came with other transports left on time. Our services always include the return, in this case it was not possible since we could not find them.
Great experience!!

Great one day trip to sea wild life in there habit. It's the Pacific Ocean, so, get ready for a bumpy ride. Take the necessary measures. Even if you think you don't get sea sick, TAKE motion sickness pills, over take them 😂 or you may not enjoy the ride. Everyone was sick the whole time. (Except us that over took candies and pills for it)
Cruising the Islands
Scott_A, Feb 2022
We had a wonderful time visiting the sea lions and cruising around the islands. I would recommend taking a towel with you. Also, the photo of the yacht is misleading.
100% recommend!

Wonderful! Monika was a great tour guide. Fun swimming and the sea lions got nice and close. It was a good length of tour, and we enjoyed it very much. Beautiful sights.
Amazing

Excellent and amazing experience. Only issue was that we rented fins at an additional cost of $20 but never received the fins (not really required). Notified tour operator and they were to get back to us but never heard anything further.
Pick up was friendly and on time at...
Johanne R, Jul 2017
Pick up was friendly and on time at hotel. Communication prior to the trip was slow and difficult because we has to go through viator and wait for them to get back to them and get back to us The waiting at the harbour and in the harbour was long. No snacks or Beverages while waiting. We paid more to get a bigger boat to avoid sea sickness the boat was too small and many were sea sick including me. The water was fridges and the wetsuit had holes. The sea lions stayed far from us not coming close to the group at all. I had read that they would swim through your legs and be more playful. Instead we were warne of the potential danger. The smell was gag worthy and made the trip that much more unpleasant. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Th it was winter so that might account for the less friendly sea lions which would call for a cheaper rate. Another concern was booking through viator I think we paid more than those from other hotels
Gran experiencia
