A Fun Day in Rural Limon

We really enjoyed our small group tour with Risheylin and Gato. They picked four of us up from the port. It was very easy to spot them in their red shirts. Their comfy airconditioned van was right there. After WiFi codes and introductions we were off to the Tortuguero canals. We saw, sloths, monkeys, caymans and birds. We then made a couple of stops to see a plantation with many tropical trees and fruits. It was a nice drive through the country with a couple of shopping opportunities. Cahuita National park was a lovely nature hike right next to the beach. There were monkeys and sloths all over the place. We also saw a very photogenic pizote and a baby cayman. The guides were super friendly and answered all of our questions. Just FYI the hike is on an even trail covered by trees and the boat ride is also covered. There is not much sun exposure and the walking is not strenuous. I got to add a Montezuma Oropendola to my birding list thanks to gato.

The canal tour and the park tour and the banana plantation visit were excellent. The staff were great, friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. All very accommodating and made sure everyone had a good experience.

Rishelyn (guide) and GiGi (driver) were AMAZING! Very informative. We got to see many animals in both places Tortuguera Kanal and Cahuita national park. One of my favorite excursions from the whole 14 day cruise. Definitely reccomend and I would do it again for sure!

Impressive sites but should have gone with different tour company

We prepaid for this trip. Arrived at the port looking for the viator greeter. None there so we kept walking and found a very unorganized viator employee tent. I thought we had purchased a private tour but was told we had not. Paid double by booking in advance. Had to complain about the time wasting away and finally assigned a guide/driver. Driver was nice enough but spoke poor english and could not provide much information. I would never pay in advance for a tour again. The sites were impressive.

Johnny our tour guide personalized our experience. He easily answered all Of our inquiries and was knowledgeable about all aspects of Costa Rican life. He set our schedule so that it included everything specific to the tour and more. We highly recommend this 6 in 1 tour.

Even the weather & the park condition were not the ideal situation (wet & road problem ) The guide was very enthusiastic in trying to show us what he knows if his country in English ( though not very fluent but understandable!) A native young man working hard to introduce his world/ nature to us, very impressive!! We all love him!!
Close encounter with white face monkey.

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The cruise through the canal the captain was knowledgeable in pointing out the sloth, cayman, iguana, monkey and various water fowls. The guide Ramon(?) was patient and informative in guiding us through the rainforest. He showed us the names of different plants and applications of them. We tasted different fruits. We even get a close encounter with a white faced monkey on the trail. Overall we had good time.

Es war alles seht gut organisiert. Im super modernen Kleinbus gab es sogar W-Lan. Unser Guide Lyan war sehr nett und freundlich und hat sich sehr bemüht, uns die notwendigen Info verständlich zu übermitteln, da wir nur eingeschränkte Englischkenntnisse haben. Ein großes Lob an Lyan!
