Timing off

The places we visited were good, Sun Studios, Beale St and The Peabody Hotel; but the timing was off. We understand that the city tour was part of the tour, but too much time spent on driving past Universities and hospitals. Some of this time would have been better spent - with getting to the Hotel sooner so we could get a good position to see the ducks (not behind 20 other people) - getting to Sun Studios 10 mins earlier so that the tour wasn’t rushed as we arrived right on or just after starting of the tour - adding in a stop at Martin Luther King’s memorial and the Lorraine Hotel.

I really enjoyed the tour but the only thing that let it down was the tour guide Michelle. She was so loud on the microphone which she didn’t need! I had to put one finger in my ear. Anyway go on the tour it’s excellent especially the sun studio

Best Little Music Museum on the Mississippi

Highly recommended for everyone whether an Elvis fan or not. Our tour guide was enthusiastic, well- informed, and clearly a music-lover. Museum-quality displays came to life when snippets of the relevant tunes were played. Go just to hear a sample of the recording of The Million Dollar Quartet- something I doubt could be heard anywhere else. A must see!

The guide didn't pay attention to us the entire trip. She talked a lot with some of us but she didn't even look at us. We left her a tip that she didn't deserve and she didn't even say thank you... the truth is, being the face of the tour is not very pleasant.

Very good tour with a very informative driver. Downside was wasting over 30 mins to watch some ducks enter a fountain. I felt that the time would have been greater spent at the Lorraine hotel where something much more important happened, no matter how old the duck march is.

We could not understand our driver/narrator, Michele, much at all. Either she doesn't know how to use her microphone (as it all came over as a screeching sound) or she needs a new microphone. I am a native speaker. There were others on our bus that were from England and they were totally lost. I felt embarrassed about the whole situation. Memphis is a road construction and traffic zoo. It was an unexpected headache to have to have all of the twists and turns. Not enjoyable at all. Finally, concerned about the overall safely and cleanliness of downtown Memphis. Glad to get out!

Awesome tour with Michelle! She was friendly, funny & gave so many details about the history of Memphis. It was obvious she loved her job & she made us fall in love with Memphis. Even though we only stopped 3 times (visitor’s center, Peabody Hotel & Sun Studio) we learned so much. Highly recommend this tour & Michelle!!

Go if you like to kill time

Frankly, a good portion of this tour was boring. We drove around in circles, covering a small portion of downtown Memphis, seemingly killing time, waiting for a main attraction that never materialized. Of the two highlights, only the Sun Studio tour was interesting. The Peabody duck march was so crowded that we couldn't even see the ducks. Our guide Darryl was fun and good hearted and tried his level best to make lemonade out of lemons.

Your bus was on time, efficient and the driver had a wealth of knowledge. Sun Studio was well worth visiting as was The National Civil Rights Museum and St. Jude’s Hospital which we passed by.

Nice Tour, But Longer Than It Needed to Be

We enjoyed seeing Memphis for the first time -- especially Sun Studios. However, this 3.5 hour tour could easily have been cut to 2.5. The driver spent too much time stopping along side of road, talking in detail about the Bass Pro Shops & bridges leading in to Memphis. 'Would rather have had more time to explore Beale Street.
