From the first moment Taylor introduced herself I knew she was going to be a great guide. She is knowledgeable, outgoing, and so enthusiastic about the food and history of Memphis. We went to 5 different places on Beale Street and each stop was as good as the next. We started with fried double cheeseburgers and ended with a generous piece of fudge. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to sample the foods that Memphis is known for.

So little time, so much food!

We had an amazing time, the knowledge that Ashley had with regards to Memphis and Beale Street as well as the food was outstanding. The restaurants we went to, the food was amazing, we even went back to have a full meal.

This was a great tour. History of Memphis and Beale Street was very interesting. Taylor was a knowledgeable guide. We loved it all! All the food served on the tour was delicious! Very highly reccomend!

Taylor has put together a great food tour itinerary. The amount of food is generous- we skipped dinner that night! Our group was small, 2 couples. The entire tour was on Beale Street which was very convenient and provided lots of food options, as well as plenty of interesting stories and history. All of the food was great! In fact, we will be returning to one of the restaurants today for lunch. Taylor was a friendly and knowledgeable guide. Her affection for Memphis and for local food shows. Highly recommend, and suggest doing this early in your trip as you will want to capitalize on what you learned with repeat visits.

Great walking tour; a Memphis gastronomic experience of BBQ, gumbo, and more. Our tour guide talked about historic and cultural lore. The restaurant choices were excellent. Highly recommend this tour- but don't eat breakfast and wear good shoes!

Our group of 4 really enjoyed this tour. The tastings were all great, and our guide Taylor was knowledgeable and delightful. I was surprised at how much I loved the smoked chicken wings. I devoured it! The ribs were fall off the bone delicious. I wish I had found these spots before we had to leave Memphis. I love doing food tours when I travel and this tour was a winner!

Food. History. Beale Street. Elvis. This tour is about much more than food. Tour guide Taylor’s love of Memphis and its amazing history made this tour one of the most memorable experiences of our sister trip. Highly recommended for anyone going to Memphis!

I visited Memphis wi/my parents & a family friend. Our priority was Graceland & The Guest House (amazing!) While we had many other activities planned, a Taste of Downtown Memphis Food Tour was a standout and a high point in our long weekend. Our guide Harper & his daughter have a great vibe! We even returned to several food tour venues.

Dangerous, Dirty and Disgusting

Beale Street at 4 pm: saw men doubled over a drain in the street to vomit, had unstable men shouting and falling over, no police visible at all. Nothing that any tourist ever wants to see or be nearby. Serious need to clean up the street. Many buildings were empty or closed. Not a lot to see or do. Finally, bathrooms in restaurants are not close to acceptable. The city has a lot to address. Do not recommend Beale Street under any circumstances.

My husband and I would never have chosen the five food experiences on our own. Let’s face it; most looked worn from the street! We’re we surprised to have such good food and all the ambiance. Taylor provided all the background and made it fun!

We enjoyed this tour immensely. Our tour guide "Ponytail Girl" was interesting and very knowledgeable. The stops were all along Beale Street. The samples were plentiful and yummy. This was one of the best food tours we have taken. It is our opinion a food tour is a great introduction to a new area. When the guide is good, you can learn a great deal while enjoying the local cuisine. Highly recommend this tour!

Our guide, Taylor, was fantastic! She knew everyone on Beale Street and could answer all our questions, made recommendations for things to do and restaurants to try. The tour was focused on 2 blocks of Beale Street, we stopped at 5 restaurants and a different Sundry store which had very unique gifts at all price points, many of which I never saw anyplace else. Unlike many food walking tours I've taken, Taylor made sure we had glasses of water at each stop; interacted with the staffs and engaged them in how they prepared the items we were eating and how it fit in with the Memphis culture; and she knew and passed on all kinds of tidbits about the characters of Memphis and the place music plays in the culture. Loved this tour!!!

Guide, Taylor, is an excellent guide. She provided interesting information about the food stops we visited, general information about Beal Street, and information about other foods to try out in Memphis. The food was different at each stop, so we had broad sampling of tasty Beal Street foods. I wish there had been a couple more stops.

Great tour. Minimal walking we were worried because another review said it was 2 miles of walking. It was closer to 2 blocks. Our elderly parents that don't get around very well made it just fine. Tour guide was great. It was a lot of food, but was well spaced out.
