Absolutely enjoyed this excursion. I LOVED Taormina. It was absolutely beautiful, picturesque, and what you would envision an Italian village to be. The live music being played in the piazza was awesome, and the views from there were absolutely stunning. Castelmola was also a beautiful little village. Again, a true Italian experience.

The tour was very interesting. The guide was very good. She obviously had an Italian accent and I could understand her when I was standing next to her, but when I was at a distance using the radio device supplied, it was difficult. It was a little like two tin cans connected with a string.

Our guide Kata was awesome! She shared a lot of information about the region and it’s history. I would highly recommend this tour! We were very punctual to be picked up from the port and to be returned to the port, but at no point during the day did it feel rushed.

Skip coastline, go with Taormina!

Waited to long for fellow travelers to show up. Should be a 10-minute grace period not 35 minutes. Drove over an hour to Coastline, looked for 10 minutes and back for another drive of over an hour. Beautiful coast, not worth the time for 10 minutes (wonder if that is where they made up time for late arrivals, grrr). Taormina and Castelmola are gorgeous. Go there: storybook pretty. Bus was nice, guide was good.

We had a great tour with Sara and the driver. Taormina and Castelmola were very nice to see and hear about the history. The Greek Theater was an added bonus to see. Sara took us down a side street to see old Roman walls where caper plants have grown a very long time.

Sofia was our guide on this bus excursion to Castelmola and Taormina. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic as she narrated the ride up the mountain to Castelmola. The road is very narrow and sometimes harrowing as two buses cannot pass at the same time on the curves. The provided headsets made sure all could hear. At Castelmola we sampled the local almond wine. After a brief orientation, we were free to explore on our own, climbing to the fortress ruins and meandering along the narrow streets and alley ways of this very picturesque town; Mt Etna always in the background. Then on to Taormina with its beautiful churches and public buildings. There was a huge shopping area between the old arches of the ancient city. We had lunch on our own. All in all a beautiful day, full of amazing sites, and lots of history.

Beautiful scenery an excellent Guide and Driver. We lucked out with weather. It was a beautiful and comfortable day. Restroom availability was challenging in some segments. Some stairs and incline walking required.
