Great Evening at the Winery

So much amazing food, it just kept coming. And we were a group of 5 friends & they brought us 6 bottles to try. The bottles were left on the table after we were educated on the wines for us to help ourselves! We took the leftover wine & food with us back to our hotel. Worth every penny for this fun evening!

Amazing time at the wine tasting. 6 bottles to try. 3 course meal with extra bottle to try with dessert. We had a lovely group and had a really good laugh.

This was an absolutely fantastic experience! We were picked up at our hotel, driven to the winery that was only about 20 minutes away, and dropped off to our table. We were given the opportunity to self-tour the property and the vines and olive groves. Once we got some photos, we went back to our table, where we were greeted and provided with six fantastic bottles of wine to start along with fresh bread, olives, sundried tomatoes, and some meat and cheese charcuterie items as well. After awhile of getting to know the other couple on our tour, sipping the fabulous wine, and snacking, they brought out plates of the most delicious bolognese pasta. Following that, they brought out a basket of biscotti along with a bottle of vinsanto for the table. They also provided us with cups of grappa at the end of the meal. There was live music in the courtyard and lots of people dancing. It was an absolutely fantastic experience and I'd give it several more than 5 stars if I could! I'm so pleased with this tour and would absolutely do it again and recommend it to anyone traveling in this area!

Amazing trip!! Small group of 5, myself and friend with 3 others picked up on the way. Had the opportunity to walk around when we got there but we choose to eat and drink first. Food was fantastic, tasty and plentiful. Salami, cheese, bread, tomatoes, oils etc. and then bowl of pasta. 6 bottles of wine to share and just to ask if we wanted more (which we did and received without question or further cost). While afternoon was a delight - fully recommend!!

Amazing! Great experience. For wine and food lovers. Wonderful setting. You can wander round the vineyard but you are there to try 6 different wines and eat fabulous food. We were well looked after too. Highly recommended.

Really just a sit down meal and 6 bottles of wine, nothing special and probably wouldn’t have paid the price we paid for the product, waiter briefly described the wines and told us what order to drink them and then we were left to it.

Thanks for sharing your point of view. We are really sorry that it was not appreciated. The experience is purely based on tasting different wines, on being able to identify different tastes of the wines which have had different formation processes, processes that are explained by the waiter. In addition to the wine tasting (3 reds, 3 whites, grappa and vinsanto), the experience includes a meal with typical products, return transport from your accommodation and the possibility to do a tour by your own of the vineyards and olive groves and appreciate the rural atmosphere of the hill. This is what we sell and what we actually deliver. A punctual service, good wine and a lot of sympathy. We regret if you have had different expectation and you have not been completely satisfied by the experience.

The review written by Leah_M pretty much sums up our experience as well, except we went in the afternoon. We were picked up and dropped off at our airbnb, had plenty of time to relax, eat, drink and explore. No pressure at all to buy. The food and wine was delicious, it was a beautiful day and a warm and friendly environment. We did not get a tour of the vineyard or winery but we were able to wander the vineyard and enjoy tasting 5 wines. We sat with a couple from Sweden ( we are from USA) and had a very enjoyable time. Everyone was kind and helpful! Highly recommend!!!

Worth the money

Well worth the money just based on the 5 wine offerings, consisting of 2 white and 3 red. Not much to see tbh other than the horses, wine shop and the two lovely dogs but overall, we enjoyed the experience. Staff were excellent, including our driver. Note, this is not a physical tour of a winery. Nice welcome by a lovely young woman who explained the origin of the wines etc. We had a nice lunch consisting of garlic bread, cold meats and a small pasta dish. Shared the experience with a lovely American mum and daughter.

Really fun, homestyle, home-grown wine/dinner in an atmospheric surrounding. They catered for vegetarians well too. Would definitely love to go again. Well worth the money and the hotel pick-up/drop-off made it really care free.

Traveling with kids

We booked this vineyard & winery experience tour for four adults and two kids. Driver picked us up from our hotel and drive to destination took only 20 minutes. We walked around the vineyard and we were told about the winery. Tour included wine tasting and we tasted 6 different wines. Lunch was amazing and there were plenty of food. Kids liked it too and their hopes for menu were included. Everything was organized perfectly!

Beautifully authentic Tuscan evening with amazing wine & food!

Had the most amazing evening! We booked the experience for the evening slot and were picked up on time from our hotel by a very friendly tour guide. She drove us to the farm & vineyard “Fattoria Il Poggio” (look it up on the web!) which took approx. 20 mins. When we arrived she introduced us to our guide at the vineyard and said she would return to pick us up at 9pm. We got to look around the vineyard, before being seated at our table in the beautiful dining area outside of the farmhouse, where the lovely tour host came to explain to us about the olive oil and wine making processes. She then brought us 6 bottles of the wines that they produce, along with a huge platter of Tuscan meat, bread, cheese & olives and said we were free to drink as much of the wines as we would like, and to enjoy our food. The food was absolutely delicious and the wines were too! We were then served our main which was a fresh pasta with a Tuscan ragù, followed by 2 dessert wines and the traditional almond biscuits. We spent an amazing 3.5 hours eating delicious authentic food and drinking lots of amazing wine! You can stroll back up to the vineyard after your meal to watch the sunset over the hills. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and we were not rushed nor pressured to buy anything. The atmosphere was brilliant, with music and a gentleman singing. The shop is lovely and has a great selection of the oils & wines, and we left with 2 bottles! Our driver then collected us and dropped us back at the hotel. We can’t recommend this experience enough, it was excellent value for money and truly authentic. I recommend that the tour company should add some more detail to the listing here, such as the name of the farm & vineyard and some more images!
