*Meet your guide in front of the ticket gate at JR Nara Station. JR Nara Station has only one ticket gate. Just come out, and find a NaraWalk guide with a white flag! *There are two "Nara Station" in Nara. Please come to JR Nara Station, not Kintetsu Nara Station. *If you have arrived at Kintetsu Nara Station, please come to JR Nara Station. This is not a private tour, and our only meeting place is JR Nara Station. *The tour starts punctually. As this is a group tour, we do not wait for those who cannot or does not appear on time at the meeting spot. If you arrive late, unfortunately you cannot join the tour.

- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Setsuko was a fantastic guide. She shared so many interesting facts and information about the sites. She also took us to all the best spots and helped us with photos and recommendations for place to eat afterwards. A brilliant trip.

Motoko was our sweet and wonderful guide. She guided us through less crowded areas and explained the history and significance of each shrine and temple. Even though it was only 3 hours we never felt rushed, This tour is a must especially if you have less than half a day. We could not have done so much on our own. Motoko is really a wonderful guide

We had such a wonderful time with our tour guide Yoshi, she was very informative, friendly and approachable, good length tour, we saw so much, fed lots of deers and we've learned so much from our tour. Even got some really cute origami deer souvenirs to take home! Highly recommended.

This was my first time in Japan and my first time Solo traveling. My tour guide was Reiko and she was the highlight of my trip to Japan. It was raining during the day and she brought me an umbrella before the tour started. She had great communication before and during the tour. She offered to take pictures of me as I was solo and I thought that was really kind and thoughtful. We saw the big Buddha Statue and went to the Deer Park and ended the tour with the famous Mochi in Nara. 10/10 Tour and highly recommend taking this tour with Reiko - She's the best!

Lay was such a wonderful guide. So attentive and patient with the many questions we had. She really shared her knowledge of Nara, as well as went into Buddhism vs. Shintoism, which was particularly interesting. Definitely recommend!

Makiko has been such a great guide! She was amazingly prepared and made the whole experience magical and special! The tour was well structured and not extremely long, giving you enough time to explore more on your own. Highly recommended!!!

This tour gave us what we wanted, which was a good overview of Nara, but the tour itself was a bit too slow and dragged on a bit. The lovely old Japanese man took us on a very comprehensive tour of Nara. We started off 30 minutes late as we waited for 2 additional people that never turned up, but the tour ended more than an hour later than it should have. The pace of the tour was a bit slow, and involved an incredible amount of walking in the heat. After 3 hours, the guide wasn't really reading the room that everyone was kind of over it, and he kept ploughing on. It didn't help that he was very softly spoken and his English wasn't as good as many of the other local guides we experienced during our stay.

Reiko our tour guide was the BEST! She was so sweet and kind. She even waited 5 more minutes for us . I called to notify them. We didn’t realized how far it was from Osaka station. We started to take the train at 8:15am and made it to Nara Station at 10:05am. It is a loooong wait plus you have to change/ transfer train at least 3-4 times to make it to the final destination so please give yourself time in case you get lost. Japanese people are very kind and help and they will try to help you even if they don’t speak the language. Try to get a map from your hotel concierge it will make it way easier to point people ( if you get lost) to were you want to get. Anyways you MUST GO! You won’t regret it! Awesome and unique experience. I almost didn’t want to go bc it was our last day in Japan and we were tired already, oh boy we glad we got the energy to go to Nara Park. We even stay like 3 more hrs hanging around the area to have lunch and see a mochi ( Japanese sweet) factory and the demostrated how they make it. Super interesting. Please do yourself a favor and book this! Don’t think it twice.

The Nara park tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide Makiko-san and her assistant/trainee were both very knowledgeable, friendly and funny, and they went above and beyond to make this tour an unforgettable experience. We had a wonderful time learning about the history of this park from them and would recommend this tour to anyone!
