Spooky fun

Joe was very informative, wasn't aware of Goat Island, or Newports rich history the stories were very interesting, sea worthy & some spooky!

Guide-a no show

We went to the meeting place at 8pm, met two other people waiting for the tour guide who never showed up. After waiting for a while, the others called the tour company ( main number) and was told by the nice gentleman on the phone that he couldn’t get in touch with the guide after several attempts. Granted it was Thanksgiving , so there shouldn’t have been a scheduled tour. Hopefully, we will be refunded.

Great tour, great guide!

Our guide John-Eric was knowledgeable, funny, and thoughtful. My daughter is very petite and is always mistaken for being much younger than her almost 20 years but he was mindful of his delivery and subject matter-I wanted to let him know she was a college student but didn’t want to interrupt him. Still it was kind and my daughter said he was the reason the tour was so enjoyable. Had the weather been better we would have enjoyed the extended tour but I have too many cold-related issues. Thank you for a great experience!

Our tour guide was very passionate about Newport. You could tell he really cares about the community; both living and dead. He was patient, understand, and willing to answer all our questions. Gave us a few tips on where to find the ghosts and what time of day/night they enjoy coming out.

Don't Book

Do not book this!!!! Its not worth $1 The guide is awful and the venue won't refund you even if you felt uncomfortable with the your guide. We left 20 minutes into the tour and still was rejected for a refund! Youve been warned... Don't book this!

the worse tour in the history of tours!

i am a huge fan of ghost tours. i do them in every city i go to especially the ones rich in history. This one has the potential to be the best - newport. shipping, revolution, colonial, Railroad tycoons, mega mansions etc. What i got was an angry little man who clearly hates everything about Newport especially the wealthiest parts of it. The only ghost aspects were the occasional lift of a finger to point out a window where there may be a ghost. if we look long enough. Not a haunting or a hag to be found. In place of ghost stories - I got the tale of his alcoholism, road to recovery, police episodes while drinking, and the arcade he hung out in. Oh there was a dog that past us who was supposed to have been a pirate ship dog from a century ago but i Like dogs so that was actually the high point. - I had to bail early when he started preaching about his first taste of white privilege. Give me my money back and tack on another 50.00 for the disgusting waste of my time. Then I will feel privileged. And fire Bobby. He should go get a job in that arcade. He can work out some of that anger on a pinball machine.

Informative, spooky and super cool

Bobby -our guide was super knowledgeable about the area, and shared some great stories at each point of interest. He also kept the tour running prompt and on time, it was a bit chilly so it was nice to keep things moving and stay in the 90 minute time frame. We were really impressed with the amount of research he had done to make sure we had gotten information based on true events. We had booked the add on bonus, which was worth it. The extra stops tie into the stories you will hear in the original itinerary. Our son had a blast with the EMF reader you can rent that for the tour too. Thanks Bobby for a spooky night out!
