What a gem to have Mike take our walking tour! He is simply lovely and many many stories to tell, Port Isaac has such an interesting history and to think of it wasn’t for Doc Martin we never would have experienced this wonderful town…I cannot recommend this walking tour enough!

Dave did a fantastic job showing us all the great spots in Port Isaac or Port Wenn. The walk included stories from the Doc Martin series as well as some inside information. Had a lovely time and appreciated his willingness to answer questions. We learned quickly that fitness helps-we either walked uphill or downhill!

Mike is the best tour guide we ever experienced (and we have traveled a lot)! He made Port Isaac come alive for us with his humor and engaging stories about this village. We will now go home and watch Doc Martin all over again and enjoy it even more after learning so much about the filming of the series and the town of Port Isaac. How did they ever get that lifeboat down that narrow street? Take the tour and find out!

It was raining when we started and Mike our guide got us umbrellas. We started our tour and it was superb. Mike is an actor and appeared on Doc Martin. He had wonderful insight and stories. This was one of the best tours we have done. Highly recommended.

Really nice walk & talk through Port Isaac by John, who's born & brought up here, and clearly knows all about the history and the filming. Lovely little fishing village, with fantastic views, a great walking trail (past the Doc's house), and excellent fish 'n chips.

We drove almost 100k to go to this and we’re surprised to find ourselves the only participants on the 1pm tour. Our guide had been an extra in many of the series and was a genuine resident of Port Isaac. So whilst the tour was about Doc Martin it was also filled with lots of local knowledge about the place today. He was very unassuming and was like chatting to a friend. Different to the hype I expected but genuine and enjoyable. Just remember TV is all about smoke and mirrors.

Mike Meakins 90-min walking tour of the Doc Martin venues was the highlight of our visit to Port Isaac. Mike was engaging and shared lots of first-hand knowledge about the show's cast members and filming locations in Port Isaac and elsewhere. He was also an extra in the movie Fisherman's Friend and was full of fun facts and tidbits of behind the scenes knowledge. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour experience, which was well worth the price.
