A little unorganized

As other reviews have stated, it was difficult finding a representative from the company. We were unable to use the first portion of our tickets (the Skylon tower) because we were unable to locate anyone who knew anything at the meeting place, and only caught up with the rest of our group for the walking tour. Our tour guide Catherine was phenomenal. Very courteous, patient, and helpful.

Tour guide Katherine was fantastic and did a phenomenal job. When I first arrived at Skylon Tower at 9:00am, and they would not accept my voucher. I called Paul at Vox and he sent me the 3 qrcodes needed to get into the 3 venues. The qrcode for Skylon Tower was invalid and not accepted. Called Paul at Vox again and informed him of this and was told Vox tour guide would not arrive until 10:15am. Paul told me not to wait until Vox tour guide arrived. I told Paul I would purchase my own entry ticket to Skylon Tower, and Paul said that Viator and Vox would refund me my money. Paul was helpful and professional. Overall, experience was fun, just for the technical difficulties that occurred.

Walking tour was great. Connect directly through Vox. Not Viator. Viator does not have tickets for the experiences. Had to purchase extra ticket because Viator did not send us QR code

Not worth the hassle

First of all, we have always been pleased with Viator tours. I have yet to have been disappointed and we have been booking for many years. But, Vox City tours was a disappointment. We printed our vouchers as requested. There were three separate vouchers. Directions on the vouchers were extremely confusing. We arrived at our the address 30 minutes early. One stated to find a Vox representative outside the welcome center. No one was to be found. We waited in a line to ask. No one had any information. Another voucher said to get our time slot for one activity as soon as possible. So we went inside and stood in another line. The third voucher said to download a QR code (but keep in mind that we had crossed into Canada so we were on data roaming). App was not helpful at all. At this time, I tried to message the company which took 15 minutes to send. (No time frame was printed on the third voucher which said to meet a Vox representative at top of escalator. I also tried to call the number which took several tries for the call to go through. Person I spoke to said I didn’t follow the directions and missed the tour (which left 15 minutes earlier). She said I could still do the other two activities. Though rude, eventually said she would refund part of the fee. But, our call was dropped. Once the message was returned, it said I could meet up with the tour guide…but message came back way too late for that. We ended up only using one voucher for the journey experience. We ended up not even needing the skylon ticket because we were planning to eat there anyway. I don’t think this experience is any reflection in Viator, but Vox City tours. We are currently on another Viator tour and it is fabulous…well communicated and friendly staff.

I have trouble to print out the tickets! When I arrive falls and go to the counter they just told me go to Skylon Tower but didn’t print out the walking tour +ticket to journey ! So we miss that! Very disappointed! I hope this can be improve !

Really enjoyed "Behind the Falls and Skylon Tower. Both attractions were well worth seeing. BUT BUT, dealing with "viator" was a total disaster. A viator rep was to be available to meet us, buy could not be traced. Wasted loads of my valuable time and energy. Rang a few times, now 30 hours later no reply from them. My advice is "stay well clear" and try and obtain tickets from a reputable firm. M..... R...

Booked on line to meet representative from Vox City @ 10.30am. Given totally inadequate and incorrect meeting point therefore missing our slot. We managed to contact Vox City by phone and got a later slot @ 2pm. We met the rep (1 loan woman) for what we thought was our 3 experiences we had booked but she explained she was just one of the experiences, the walking tour, and we had to exchange our vouchers for tickets for the other 2. Nowhere was this explained to us in the e mails at all - we presumed when we were given a time slot everything would run together. We then had to wait in a queue for 45 minutes to exchange our vouchers for tickets to be told we couldn’t get on one of the experiences (behind the falls) for over an hour. Our whole day was ruined by badly informed e mails. To make the day even worse our flight over the falls which we booked in MAY, also via aviator, was cancelled 2 days before we were due to go. A poor show all round!

I was looking forward to what I paid for which was a guided waking tour guide and I did jot get that when I got there. I had to do this o. My own. I think communicate was deceptive.i app would not work for me when I was going through it.i enjoyed the view with my friends on my own.

Our tour guide Katherine was very knowledgeable about the falls and the history. The walking tour was great. The walk behind the falls gives you the perspective of the power of the water falling over the falls. We went on a Saturday so it was busy but the line moved. We would recommend the walking tour and behind the falls tour

The 360*view of the falls was spectacular. There was plenty of room to see, not over crowded. We would recommend seeing Niagara Falls from the Skylon tower

Give the "Walking Tour" part a miss!

Bit difficult to rate this as two of the three parts were good but the Walking tour was distinctly average. Journey behind the falls is well worth it and judging from our views is a lot better than the over-hyped "Maid of the Mist" experience. The Skylon Tower is also worth a trip with fabulous views across all of the falls. However, the walking tour was disappointing - the guide was friendly enough but perhaps in the wrong job as we were not interested in her preferred car park opinions and some of the facts given out were incorrect and/or not interesting. We learned more from reading a simple Wikipedia article about the Falls!!

I receive a tickets on my email. But they are not accepted at the skylon tower and to journey behind the falls. I have not a scan code on my tickets. Finaly, i called the viator compagny and i don't understand what they said because i speak french... i don't like my experience...

We never were able to use the ticket vouchers I have filed a complaint with BBB and grieved the credit card charge. I have called and emailed your customer care 6 times and no resolution. We ended up buying new tickets so we did not miss the planned excursions but are EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with your service

Troublesome vouchers

In your system you give us a voucher that doesn't get us in and has to be redeemed. Even when we called you and the event operator, no one could tell us over the phone where the redemption point mentioned in your emails was located. We went to the ticket offices and each one had to get a supervisor to help us email the voucher to their organization and verify to get tickets. You either need to actually get us tickets or you need to email the event so we're in their system and are able to give us tickets.

The falls are amazing! My favorite part was the overlock with the mist. If I didn't live so far away I would come every year. Canada side was beautiful.

Emails were confusing. Found four things it said they weren’t tickets. Went to four different counters to get started because no one knew exactly where I should go. Never did get tickets to Skylon..Difficult to enjoy what we did see in the end because of all the hassle. I would not book with Viator again Very very frustrating instead of very very relaxing
