Terrible experience

Our experience was nonexistent. We were early to meet and were told by three different people at that location and two nearby locations that we were at the wrong spot. We ended up walking to the power station You’re being told if that was where it appeared, we were to meet. Turns out that the meeting spot was exactly where we were located; however, in hopes that we could meet there, we walked that distance. Then were told that it was not possible. We called the customer service number and were on the phone for an hour. I would never book through this again.. There were two other groups that could not find the tour and did not get to go on it either. They also ended up at the power station. We would like a complete refund as we did not get the service at all

It's disappointing to hear that you missed the tour despite your efforts to locate the meeting point. For all our tours, we strive to provide detailed information about the meeting point, including photos and specific location details, to ensure that guests can easily find their way. Additionally, our coordinators and guides wait at the designated meeting point with the Walks & Devour sign to assist guests upon arrival. We understand that it can be confusing when receiving conflicting information from others in the area. However, we recommend following the instructions provided to you in our tour details to ensure a smooth experience. Unfortunately, you were marked as a no-show for the tour, and after checking the system, we can see that the tour had been running with no issues, and other people were able to find the guide and join the group. Due to strict time slots for entry into attractions, we recommend you show up 15 minutes before the scheduled starting time on your voucher. Our groups depart precisely at the scheduled tour start time. If you show up late or cannot find the meeting point, for any reason, refund requests are not honored per policy. For most tours, it is not logistically possible to join the group after it has started. We apologize for any frustration caused and encourage you to reach out to us at feedback@walks.org so that we can discuss your experience further and find the best solution together. Our guide John was very knowledgeable and the tour of the tunnels was really cool. I loved coming out at the base of the falls. The view from the observation deck was amazing as well.

If you like taking a tour through historic infrastructure facilities and learning how the early stages of electrical generation was designed, this is for you. You also get a LOT of steps in with "The Tunnel" tour, which is from the generating station shaft base level out to the Niagara River outlet. The scale of the undertaking to build such an underground structure is impressive!

This is amazing experience..go to power station and denn go to down and walks in tunel and see under falls.. this is amazing. A specific smell, drops keep falling on your head as you walk out of the tunnel. the tunnel is quite long, so you go and wait until you see this beautiful view. shocking. cool.

Our tour guide, John, was super friendly. He got to know each of us in the group (there were 11 of us with him) We enjoyed learning some of the behind the scenes stuff and history of the Falls. Plus, I definitly got my steps in!

John was an excellent tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed the walking tour but knew that we probably slowed it down a little since we're 78. John made sure that we didn't miss anything. We learned things that we didn't learn during our many visits to the Falls.
Good history and perspective on power generation

Skylon tower has great views. The walk to the power station was good with the guide’s information, stories and photos. The power station scale was impressive and the elevator ride to the tunnel was good. The tunnel and its size were incredible. The only improvement might be to make sure we all could understand where the water was going once it got in the power station. It was hard to figure out what the huge tubes and decks were doing relative to the water. The explanation of how the tunnel was built was good with all the signs along the way. Thank you.

The tour was well paced and informative, and walked us through a pretty street I might not have discovered. I don't think I would have a gotten nearly as much out of my visits on my own, thanks tour our tour guide. We absolutely loved him--he was engaging--really a wealth of knowledge--and had great suggestions on other activities and restaurants.

We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Deanna, was great. She was very knowledgable and personable. There were a total of 9 people on our tour which was perfect. Highly recommended! Everyone in our party loved it.
