What To Expect

Make your way to the dive center in Nice, where your tour starts. Set sail on a 20-minute boat ride along the French Riviera coast, then stop at a scenic spot along the coastline of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat (the exact location will depend on the day).

After being fitted with your snorkel equipment and listening to the safety briefing and instructions, head into the water to swim and snorkel independently in the area around the boat. You’ll have up to an hour in the water to enjoy the underwater world of France’s Mediterranean coast, with the chance to spot tropical fish, jellyfish, and other marine life.

Back on the boat, take in the views as you return to Nice, where the tour ends back at the dive shop.

This was a really great excursion and really great value for money! The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The activity itself was really fun and I would 100 percent recommend this for nature lovers. However if you have sea sickness or you struggle swimming then it is an obvious miss. 10/10 from me!

Amazing experience, 100% recommend

(we actually went in July 2022 but the review won't allow me to select that date!!) I have no words, this experience was the best ever! My sister and I were going to cancel the activity last-minute, because of the rainfall the night before, but thank goodness we didn't! We would have missed this amazing experience. The water was so nice, 27°C at 9 at a.m. is unbeatable! Not to mention that the staff was so kind and very helpful as we weren't used to snorkelling equipment. I can't wait to come back and do it again :)

This is a basic boat ride to a bay for snorkelling. Not a sight seeing boat tour. Great experience, good kit provided and fitted prior to getting on the boat. Friendly staff and not too overcrowded

Safety is not first

I’m an easy going person, but I’m really disappointed in my experience. First off, no life vests. The captain and his team did not check the currents / the level of jellyfish in the water before letting us jump in. A handful of us got taken by a rip current, and half the boat got stung by jellyfish. The water was absolutely infested with them. The one’s that got taken by the current either got rescued by a speed boat or had to climb up on jagged rocks. A few of us were bleeding from having to climb on the rocks. Honestly overall a traumatic experience. The captain gave us our money back but he was very rude about it and took no responsibility for his negligence. He told us “don’t come on these trips if you can’t handle them.” I didn’t feel safe on this trip unfortunately. They also said my jellyfish stings would fade after a day, and it’s been almost a week and I still have irritated rashes.

Easy going person ...!?!? LOL We are very sorry if we don't manage the jellyfish & the current and if we are not doctor ... Of course, we have life jackets on board which by definition allow you to keep your head above water so obviously not suitable for snorkeling !!!

It was so refreshing to get in the water. The jellyfish were a new type I hadn't seen before. The guides should probably warn their guests about them. 3 people were stung. We had a great time. I would suggest they offer a drink for the guests once they get out of the water be it alcoholic or not. That would have made it excellent.

Fantastic way to spend a morning in Nice. Only couple of hours absolutely gorgeous Ville Franche bay is a beautiful place to snorkel. Saw lots of tropical fishes, sea urchins etc.

This is an incredibly affordable and easy way to spend a nice morning in Nice - the price is worth it for the gorgeous boat ride alone! The staff do a great job making sure the gear is in good working order, and the place we went had huge schools of fish - larger than any I’ve seen in Hawaii or the Caribbean. Yes, there were a few jellyfish, but they were small and easily avoided. The water temperature in early July is perfect - go for it!

The water and snorkeling was great! Just the right amount of time! The boat captain was friendly and helpful. My son asked for a life jacket and was told no. The guide said if he could not swim, then he couldn’t go. He CAN swim. I explained this and said that swimming in the ocean just makes him nervous. But they said no to a life vest. I found it a bit strange that any company would take people out on the water for an excursion, but not have life vests. My son did not enjoy the trip and spent most of his time on the boat. But the rest of my family liked the snorkeling.
