Fabulous and informative trip

Ivana, our tour guide was superb. Knowledgeable, friendly and great fun. We visited some lovely places, with enough time to take in our surroundings and take photos. A beautiful trip showing the different sides of the area which we wouldn't have seen had it not been for the trip. Thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend.

It was one of the best tours I have had. It was a full day and key areas and "must sees" were included with an adequate time to visit each spot. But what made this tour extra special was our guide, Ivana. Everyone should enjoy their jobs and people as much as her. She was dynamic while sharing the history and details of this beautiful region right down to how cork is harvested. Bravo Ivana! Thank you!

Francesco and Luca were awesome slippers. They made the trip pleasant and fun. They took us to some beautiful spots, cooked some amazing food ( which was plentiful and delicious) and were quite entertaining! A must do !!!

Absolute Rip Off!

I don’t normally write negative reviews but this time I could not help myself. I booked the Emerald Coast Tour through Viator for Sunday 28th August. After a few hours from my booking I received a message from the tour operator stating that the tour was fully booked (Fortieventi the tour operator had overbooked it) and I would need to rebook it (nothing stating the tour was fully booked while I was booking it). I rebooked it for Monday and the same thing occurred, the tour was fully booked. I was told the only available day was Wednesday, which was fine by me so I asked the tour operator to rebook us for Wednesday 31st August (my birthday). Booking confirmed. Wednesday 31st morning, I get a message from the tour operator stating that the tour was cancelled as the van had a broken windscreen (they confirmed me on 30th August in the evening it was all good). I was obviously disappointed and thought that it was a bit strange that a windscreen would get broken the day of the tour. I then spoke to some German tourists that were staying at our hotel and they told me that they were doing the same tour I was supposed to be on (Fortieventi was the tour operator), and their guide was named Ivana (same as the guide we were supposed to have on our tour). I was in Porto Cervo and saw both the guide and the van, which was in perfect conditions, of course. One can easily make assumptions…I am very disappointed with Viator. They used to vet tour operators but their standards have gone down a lot! Please stay away from this tour operator (Fortieventi) if you are an English speaker.

Enjoyable and informative Costa Smeralda trip

Excellent trip covering authentic Sardinia as well as Porto Cervo. Our guide Ivana was excellent and very informative and as we were a mixed group spoke fluent English and German. Plenty of time given at the different locations and many good photo stops on route. Would highly recommend if you want to see both sides of the Costa Smeralda.

Luca was an amazing guide who was sensitive to the needs of each guest and filled the day with joy and interesting facts about each location we visited. He went out of his way to make sure the experience was unforgettable, as he drove us to the most beautiful views and fascinating locations of the island. Extra plus: he told us many interesting details about each location and about the history of this incredible island. I highly recommend him as a guide and this trip! Costa Esmeralda is simply gorgeous! Grazie, Luca and Viator!

I did not have a car : was travelling solo & out of season so getting to see the Costa Smeralda would have been nigh on impossible on public transport . This small group tour was the best solution Comfortable; air conditioned ; socially distanced- masks on inside the car at all times . V Covid secure for starters . The itinerary was excellent : Started off at a Nuraghi site - love a bit of history so this went back way back BC ! Have an insight into the early settlements on this island . Next up was the charming &divine mountain village of SAN Pantaleo. Authentic charm of old stone houses of a bygone age ; a boho artsy vibe and stunning views of almost impossibly shaped mountains frame this idyllic village . Could’ve stayed longer ! Next up we hit the famous Costa Smeralda- once a worthless stretch of land fit only for goats now the playground of the super rich who think 9 E is too little for an espresso ! 2020 has seen fewer mega rich yachts and high rollers in the area - I got one was glad to see it like this . Porto Rotondo was stunning . A wonderful example of new build development totally in keeping with its traditional Sardinian roots but with a new modern twist in its stunning Church is SAN Lorenzo and it’s open air theatre . The church by the way HAS to be visited : one of the most originally beautiful pieces of interior architecture I have seen in all my many years of globetrotting . Porto Cervo is nice too - but for me did not have the SOUL of Porto Rotondo . Final stop was the Surrau vineyard nr Arzachena . I wasn’t drinking/ tasting but no matter via it has the most gorgeous view of this wonderful mountains surrounding SAN Pantaleo- soothing way to end a great day out . The guide Luca spoke perfect English and was incredibly engaging and helpful throughout . Pricey - but worth it .

Die Tour mit Ivana war einfach fantastisch! Es fühlte sich an, als wäre ich auf einem Familienausflug unterwegs. Ivana war nicht nur ein ausgezeichneter Tourguide, sondern auch eine herzliche und liebevolle Begleiterin. Ihre Begeisterung für die Region war ansteckend und sie sorgte dafür, dass ich vom ersten Moment an mich wohl und willkommen fühlte. Ihre Kenntnisse über die Sehenswürdigkeiten und ihre Geschichten darüber waren faszinierend. Sie nahm sich die Zeit, mir alles detailliert zu erklären und beantwortete geduldig all meine Fragen. Ivana war auch sehr aufmerksam und flexibel und stellte sicher, dass ich die Orte besuchen konnten, die mich am meisten interessierten. Es war wirklich eine unvergessliche Erfahrung, die ich mit Ivana gemacht habe. Ihre herzliche Art und ihr Engagement machten die Tour zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Ich kann Ivana als Tourguide nur wärmstens empfehlen. Wenn Sie nach einer unvergesslichen und familiären Reiseerfahrung suchen, dann sind Sie bei ihr genau richtig! Danke Ivana :-))).

Ich habe diese Tour mit einer Freundin unternommen. Unserer guide Ivana ist einfach top!!! Unsere Tour war auf deutsch. Sie erzählte uns alles über die verschiedene Orte die wir besuchten und auch bei Fragen, nahm sie sich Zeit diese zu beantworten. Ich würde diese Tour definitiv weiterempfehlen. In kürzester Zeit lernt man die wichtigsten Orte kennen und auch ihre Geschichte dazu.

Die Sightseeing-Tour zu den Orten der Reichen und Schönen im Van war wirklich aufschlussreich. Darüberhinaus hat mir die Reiseleiterin, Ivana, sehr geholfen, als ich nachts am Hafen Olbia kein Taxi bekam - sie bot mir an, mich vom Hafen zum Hotel zu fahren - und hat mich auf Wunsch nach der Tour noch zu einem Supermarkt gefahren, damit ich mir noch Verpflegung kaufen konnte. Da fühlte ich mich wirklich bestens aufgehoben. Viele Grüße also nach Olbia.
