A fun, interesting and most enjoyable history lesson - and all on a bike!!

The whole experience was memorable. Mike was a top rate tour guide, taking me to nooks and cranies of the City not discoverable off your own bat. His knowledge of history was excellent and his interesting, quirky anecdotes were enjoyable and entertaining. Cycling round the City was definitely the way to go, especially given that I was there only for a flying visit. I am a confident cyclist but I'm sure a novice would feel equally safe with the routes we took. It was very easy to negotiate the roads and little amount of traffic we encountered. I would recommend it as a 'must do' for any visit to the City.

Great way to learn about Oxford

Great mix of Colleges, canals. Felt more comfortable than cycling on our own. Plus we learned a lot. Plenty of stops. Not non stop biking.

Mike was our guide and Jenny a guide in training. Both were great. Mike was so knowledgeable and so eager to share the history of the Colleges and the area. I learned so much! I highly recommend this tour. I was the only person and I would have thought they could cancel but they did not.

Loved learning about the history of this charming city on bicycle! Our guide Steve was wonderful - really knowledgeable, fun and flexible. The diversity of what we saw on tour from the University to the countryside was really special! We highly recommend this fun and interesting way to learn and travel around the area!

We're sorry that you didn't have a good experience. There are always 2 sides to a story. As you cancelled only 30 minutes before the first tour departure, we tried to first, follow your suggestion of an alternative tour 3 days later, then you changed your mind and wanted a tour the next day at a time when there wasn't a tour, but we would have created one for you had you given us enough notice. As you said, we gave you options, we tried to help.

Fun and relaxing ride around Oxford

Lovely ride around Oxford and the surrounding area. Well paced with frequent stops for talking about the sites, our guide Steven did a terrific job. We had to avoid cows twice on the ride which I loved.

We had a great afternoon out and about on the bikes in and around Oxford. James was an excellent guide and dealt really well with the diversions in Oxford the afternoon we went on the tour. We managed to see everything we wanted to see and James was knowledgeable on the area. Loved cycling along the canal and the Thames - even a stop off for a quick drink on the way (it was a very hot day). Lots of stops along the way. Thank you James 😊

No better way to see Oxford!

Fantastic Cycle Tour of Oxford

Friendly bike shop staff prepared our bikes and our guide was Angus who was very personable and knowledgeable. The tour took in all the main sights in the city centre along with a ride along the canal to Wolvercote, returning to the city along the side of the River Thames. The bikes were good quality and we felt safe as there were plenty of bike lanes. This is a fantastic way to see the city as so much more ground can be covered. Would highly recommend.

Had a great tour of Oxford with Howard who was an excellent tour guide with great insights into the history of the area. It was brilliant to get out of the city too to see the countryside that’s so close to the centre. When you come to Oxford this tour is a must - the cycling is easy and on the flat.

Oxford bike tour

Angus was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide and the tour covered a great range of areas from city centre to countryside outside Oxford. The welcome at the shop before Angus arrived was odd and not encouraging plus safety was not considered at all (no helmets). Other than that a very good tour.
