Your tour departs from your Central Picton accommodation or collection from the i-SITE Visitor Information Centre is available should you be arriving by ferry or train

What To Expect

Your tour starts with pickup from your centrally located Picton accommodation.

As you travel to your first destination, your guide shares background information about New Zealand wines and the Marlborough wine region, which is known for sauvignon blanc and pinot noir.

Taste a range of wines at four or five different wineries during your afternoon tour. You'll get to know more about the production at each winery, see the vineyards, and get firsthand experience of the world famous Marlborough wine region.

Your guide may be able to accommodate a request for a specific winery, or you can let the guide select great wineries for your tour. A lunch stop is not included; it is recommended that you eat before departing.

We had 5 people on our tour and it was great! Our tour guide Andy was a lovely gentleman and a good guide. The journey was about 20 mins from Picton and 5 mins between wineries. We visited 4 Wineries (Jackson Estate, Whitehaven, Nautilus Estate and Framington) and each place gave us 4 wines to try. The girls at Jackson Estate and Whitehaven we're very knowledgeable and friendly and the wineries were lovely. Unfortunately the weather was quite windy which meant we had to sit inside for all the tastings which was a little disappointing but we still really enjoyed the entire day and would highly recommend.

This was a great afternoon. We sat in beautiful outdoor settings to have our wine. The bus ride was relatively short which was nice. Sam was a great tour guide, lots of wine info as well as interesting stories. The chocolate factory at the end was icing on the cake!

Memorable wine tasting experience

Had an excellent day today! Visited famous vineyards and tasted delicious wines including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir (Rosé), Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay. The quality of NZ Marlborough wines exceeds the quality of wines from any other wine region in my opinion.

This was an absolutely fabulous wine tour! The four wineries we visited were delicious and beautiful, but it was our guide Marcella who took the tour to the next level. She is so fun, thoughtful, and pleasant. She kept us on track and entertained us all day- she even dropped us all off at the Irish pub once the tour was over so we could continue the fun! Had a fun time. Pick up was prompt and friendly. Wineries were interesting and informative, we enjoyed the wine tastings at all 4 we visited, and the chocolate shop was an added unexpected bonus - definitely the yum factor to finish a great afternoon. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and so much fun. She was more than happy to drop us at the supermarket so we could purchase nibbles to have with our recently purchased wines! In all, a great afternoon.
