Overview
Pismo Beach is a surfing hot spot, with riders coming from all over California to catch a wave here. While you could just watch surfers from the shore, it’s much more fun to experience the thrill for yourself with a surf lesson. Instructors will guide you through the basics and get you out into the water. Plus, there’s no need to rent equipment with a surfboard and wetsuit included.

Look for our big white box truck in the parking lot that is on Addie & Park street down by the beach. There are a couple surf schools so make sure that you get the RIGHT one. "SANDBAR SURF SCHOOL" and "SURF LESSONS" will be all over a big white box truck.

- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

My first time surfing, and Sandbar Surf made it an awesome experience. The two teachers were helpful and patient, and they made sure everyone got up on their boards and were safe. Thanks dudes!

I really enjoyed the lesson and had great time. The instructor was great and made sure that I progressed well enough to stand up on the board and ride a long wave. Highly recommend this lesson.

The instruction was great. My daughter got up on her first run. We couldn’t get enough. Even my mom who is 75 had a great time and surfed.

It was my 6 year old son’s first surfing lesson and the teacher was very accommodating and helpful. I would suggest an afternoon lesson though as we went at 08:30 and the water was freezing and he could only manage half the lesson.

Hi! Yes, I thought we had it set that 6 yo's couldn't go just because of that they are too young for the 8 yr old and up group lesson and just get too cold during the spring weather times that it is best to learn (afternoons are crazy windy so we don't do them) but we did our best to accommodate and if we could change the we the temperature of the water, we certainly would! :)

Super betreut, die 2h gingen viel zu schnell vorbei! Auch wenn es sehr schwiegrig war zu surfen, haben die Surflehrer einem immer motiviert und unterstützt! Hat einfach nur Spass gemacht für meine 1. Surflektion
