This whole thing was a big disappointment from the beginning, the meeting place is not clearly posted.
The horses looked tired.
And the tour guy spent time on his cellphone almost non stop. We cancelled and went back to the hotel after about 20 minutes into this experience.
If the tour guy was a genuine he would explain few things and spend some time interacting with us. Instead we ended up going through the beach full of people and small kids and when he got free from being on the phone he would talk for few minutes to us and then go back to his phone.

I haven’t ridden a horse since I was a kid and this horse nearly tossed me off into the ocean. 😂 As we were minding our own business walking down the beach some off leash dogs swarmed us and he took off running. Somehow I managed to stay upright even though I was terrified I was going to get kicked in the head, but he thanked me at the end of the ride by rubbing his head all over me, and the sunset and ocean waves were beautiful. I am not a cowgirl but I wish you guys could have seen me galloping into the sun. 10/10 would do again. Our guide was friendly, my horse saved my life, and sometimes the things that go slightly haywire on trips make the best stories.

Communication on the details was excellent! Nicole let us know where to meet and that Gustavo would be our guide. Gustavo met us at the exit of the W hotel beach with Rambo, Mystery, Jalapeño and Paco. He and the horses were patient with us. The ride was beautiful and relaxing as we traveled the beach and a short trail as he pointed out monkeys in the trees. We were in great hands! Pacific horses comes highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our horseback riding tour. Our guide, Gustavo, was incredible. He met us right as we stepped onto the beach from the Westin, and made sure we all felt comfortable before departing. The horses were very well trained and cared for, which made for a relaxing and enjoyable ride.
The tour route is great - we walked on a combination of shaded trails and right on the beach at the water's edge, and got to explore Playa Conchal, Brasilito Beach, and more. We got to see a troupe of monkeys on the trail as well, which was very cool.
Overall this was a great, family-friendly way to explore the full length of Playa Conchal in a new way. Perfect for novice horseback riders like us, and a highlight of the trip for our 10 year old daughter. Given how hot it gets, it's also the perfect length of time. We recommend doing this tour in the morning before the full heat of the day!
There are a number of horseback riding options in the area, but we were highly impressed with the professionalism and proactive communication from Pacific Horses. They stayed in constant contact so we knew exactly what to expect, and fully delivered on a great experience. And if you get to ride with Gustavo, you're in luck!

Our early morning ride was a vacation highlight for my family of 5, ages 13 to 76, everyone’s first-time on horseback. Gustavo, our guide, helped us on and off the horses (we needed the help!) and led us at comfortable pace for about 1.5 hours along the Playa Conchal shore and on shady paths. The horses were healthy and well behaved. Gustavo enthusiastically took lots of photos of us but photos my son shot while riding are much better. My teen grandson was nervous beforehand but relaxed quickly and loved the ride. We all did!

Great experience - incredible beaches and wonderful host!
Gustavo was a perfect guide - we got to canter along the beach in certain areas and saw iguanas and a family of Howler monkeys.

Entire tour was a 10/10. We went early (8am) and the beach was quiet and peaceful. Orlando our guide was great and really loved the horses - once I told him I owned horses in Canada he was telling me all kinds of fun facts about them. Horses looked well cared for. Would definitely recommend!
