My wife and daughter were abused by the tour operator at the airport desk and followed up by being ripped off on a tour booking.

What happened to the compensation?

Even though the reservation and payment were completed, no one came to pick me up, so I contacted the customer center and was told that the service could not be provided because it was too late to make the reservation. If that's the case, shouldn't it be impossible to make reservations in the first place? Furthermore, I had to wait for almost an hour at the airport, so when I asked for compensation, I was told that the department in charge would contact me, but I still haven't heard back. This response is terrible.

Takes a long time

My hotel was a 10 minute drive from the airport, but it took almost 90 mins to get there from when I got through customs etc. That’s not entirely the operators fault (customs, security & baggage holdups would have slowed the departure down) but if I had my time again I’d just get a taxi.

Dear Tomasz, Thank you for your review. We confirm that it takes a while to go through customs, security and baggage collections but this is out of our control. If you had booked a Private Transfer, we would have transferred you straight to the hotel as soon as you came out but you booked a shared seat in coach transfer. With this transfer option, we have to wait for all guests to come before your bus/coach leaves the airport. Thank you Atmosphere Team

Not quite the Van

Shared trip with 5 other travelers. There was a fair amount of luggage & as there was no net or barrier between luggage and seats, one person ensured that luggage would not crash forward into us.

Unorganized Transfer Company

Don’t use this company… they are unorganized and unprofessional… I arrived and waited an hour in their van before the shuttle left… the van was dirty, hot and had ants all over the seats… it was more of a hassle to get this transfer…

When you head out of the airport, look for anyone with the t-shirt logo “Atmospheric”. They wouldn’t hold the big sign with your names, but they did have a small sheet of paper with a table that had the names of passengers to be picked up, so you just need to check with him/them standing next to the Vodafone / Western Union counters, after you pick up your luggage and go past customs. It’s a small airport with quite a lot of people standing/walking around, but everyone knows Atmospheric (so what I did was that I just asked around whether they knew where the Atmospheric guy was). It’s a shared transfer service (so you may need to wait for other passengers to be picked up together), but the vehicle was comfortable. It is pricier than catching the taxi at the airport but when you’re entering a new country a pick-up pre-organized would take out some stress especially if you have only a few days in Vanuatu.

It turned out to be all well organized. I was one of the later once to come true the custom baggage check. I got a bit worried and confused, I was looking for a Viator sign in the arrival hall ! Bud there was no Viator sign. There are some small desk there with names. Apparently there was the second desk with some other sign and my name printed on a paper. (I did not see my name). Bud that was my fault. The security guy was very helpful. And after 10 minutes we did all meet up and went on our way.

Terrible driver

Arrived in port Vila at 1.30 am . There was few groups of us to take to different locations instead we were droppexfirdt as it was close to the airport we were dropped last bit to make it even worse we were left on the top of the hill. The road was very steep with no lights, carried laguage made it even harder. Never again to use this company.

We booked a transfer last minute and were really grateful that it was received and organised! Only thing was no one at the pick up point waiting for us but we did see an Atmosphere van and asked. After a phone call, we were on our way and even allowed us a stop at the handicraft markets (extra fee which is normal). Van was clean and air conditioned. Thank you!

Our flight was delayed...

Our flight was delayed and we were one of the last ones to exit the airport but the driver left. We arrived in a this country for the first time, it was night time and were kind of left stranded. Lucky that there was a taxi there and we caught a ride and paid 3000 Vatu. Tried to get refund from the company we booked with but were denied. We couldn’t help the delay and slow service at the airport for coming out later than expected.

Thank you for your feedback. We are a professional airport transfer operator and flight delays are accommodated with the same level of service as flights arriving on time. We are not selective in the way we provide our services. Furthermore, we are always at the airport day and night to meet flights, as we always have bookings for arriving and departing flights. Delays caused by Customs & Quarantine are beyond our control, but because it is a common occurrence here we always make it a practice to wait until the last passengers exit. On the day in question, we waited & waited and seeing no further passengers exiting Customs & Quarantine we enquired with the airport officials and they advised us that there were no more passengers inside in this restricted area. Then and only then, did we leave arrivals desk and left in our bus with your fellow passengers who also booked their transfers with us. As to your request for a refund, this was denied as it is Company policy not to refund where we did turn up & wait at our airport arrivals desk for you and your fellow passengers who booked with us, but you did not show up. We hope we have cleared any issues you might have with regards to this matter. Thank you. Atmosphere Team

This is a bus service be prepared to wait around

Very dissapointed that there was not enough information on the detail of this service when booking, it shows a small minivan and not the 30 seater bus it actually is. We had to wait 50mins for all other travellers to arrive before they left the airport and then had to wait until they dropped other guests at other hotels.

Thank you for your feedback. Yes the photo depicted on the booking form is a 16-seater bus, but that is for reference purposes only. We are a professional airport transfer operator, and our fleet consists of vehicles & buses ranging from 5-seaters to 34-seaters, so we deploy the vehicle(s) that will best accommodate the number of people to be transferred off a flight and transfer options booked and the routes. Therefore, on the day in questioned, we used our 34-seater coach for your route. You booked a shared transfer at a budget rate. And that is what you were provided with. If you had wanted to be whisked away immediately after your cleared Customs & Quarantine you could have availed yourself of either our Private Trabafer or our Private VIP Transfer. These two transfer options are available at an extra cost of course. Delays to your fellow passengers caused by Customs & Quarantine are beyond our control. We hope for you understanding.
