Portugal's southern coastline boasts some of the country's best views. On this small-group boat tour, venture from Carvoeiro to the famous Benagil caves in a longboat. These small boats allow for the captain to easily maneuver through the cave system, allowing you to get up close. Your tour also takes you to other locations along the way including Marinha Beach and Covo Valley.

Please look for the ticket office CarvoeiroCaves ® on the beach of Carvoeiro, on the left hand side corridor (when you are facing the sand & sea). PLease be there 30 minutes before the embarque.

Meet your skipper and your small group at the ticket office on Carvoeiro beach, 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time: There’s a maximum of 10 travelers per boat.
Don your lifejacket and hop aboard your sturdy but nippy fiberglass craft. Look out for dolphins as your skipper navigates past the breathtaking landscapes of the Seven Hanging Valleys.
See Carvalho Beach and Corredoura Beach with their towering cliffs; sail into the spectacular Benagil Sea Cave (Algar de Benagil) with its ceiling eye; and marvel at the sea arches and pinnacles of Praia da Marinha, considered one of Europe’s most beautiful beaches.
The tour lasts about 1.5 hours and returns to Carvoeiro Beach.

Our boat captain was able to put us inside caves to see the magnificent, sculptured rock. He was also very accommodating, returning to a cave to capture more pictures.

Thanks for the awesome boat ride! It was probably the highlight of our stay in the Algarve. Getting to see the beautiful rocky cliffs and caves from a unique perspective! What a delight! And quite exhilarating too when you actually go inside the caves! The tour guide was very friendly and quite funny too. If you go to Carvoeiro you have to take this boat trip ;-)

Outstanding tour of spectacular scenery and the caves. Our tour guide and captain, Alex and Daniel, were very competent and knowledgable.

We enjoyed the whole experience, but the highlights were when we went inside the caves, especially the spectacular Benagil Cave. Our skipper, Antonio was a master of getting our boat in and out of the caves, despite some choppy waters. Daniel provided a good commentary along the way, and offered to take pictures of us in Benagil Cave. We highly recommend this boat tour.

The opportunity to see the caves from the sea on the Benagil Long Boat Tour was very good and much better than I was expecting. Quite how nature has managed to create the caves in question was very special. We thought the trip was also very good value for money.
