The tour was very well done from the time I checked in until they dropped us off. Very thorough explanations, friendly operators, comfortable ride and hike, and the ability to meet other travelers. Great experience!
Very Nice navigation to the glaciers

Enjoyed this navigation and excursion to the glaciers. Saw sea lions, a colony of cormorants and condors. Fortunately the weather was superb with blue skys otherwise this navigation wouldn't have been so nice. It's tight seating on the boat so we spent half the time outside.
And we didn't even get to see the Glaciers!

I'm going to start this off by saying, the wind was ferocious and we didn't even get to see the glaciers.
That being said, this was still absolutely a five star experience. We did the bus pick up from Puerto Natales which was quick, comfortable and clean. Getting onto the boat was easy enough, there weren't reserved seats so we didn't luck into window seats but you definitely still have good views from just about everywhere. The crew was knowledgeable and friendly and we were served coffee and snacks upon departure.
About an hour into our boat trip the wind really started to pick up and the ride got really rough..... I'm talking, barf bags being handed out, people needing fresh air rough. The crew handle this really well. They didn't seem worried or panicked and did a great job of getting the folks who were sick what they needed.
The captain made the decision to pull over into a bay and give passengers the option to get off the boat at the Ranch where we were schedule to come back to for lunch after the glaciers. A good chunk of folks took him up on that offer.
After off-loading some passengers and waiting a little longer we were informed that it was in fact too windy for us to continue the journey to the glaciers. A total bummer but what can you do? We were given two options at that point.... 1.) Immediately return by boat to Puerto Natales and recieve a full refund. 2.) Get off the boat for a stroll and lunch at the Ranch and return by minibus to Puerto Natales afterward for half the price of excursion.
We chose to return by boat and while we didn't ultimately get to see the glaciers we did get a very nice ~3 hour boat ride through the fjords and a story to go with it.
The tour company and crew were fantastic throughout the experience. Their ability to shift plans at a moments notice and still give us options was awesome. We had our refund from Viator by the end of the business day.

Well, it was dangerously windy.

Tour canceled due to gale force winds. What can you say about a non-event? We did not get to see glaciers. Bummer. Do we get a refund?
excursión interesante, buen servicio a bordo
