Overview

Please note that some hotels in the city are not included in our pick up itinerary. In AFFAIR your hotel is not included in our pick up itinerary, we will contact you to indicate the closest hotel to which you will have to come for us to pick you up. You should wait for your guide in the indicated hotel lobby. Minimum age of 7 years to participate and 18 years of age to drive.

What To Expect

This 2-hour surf lesson starts with a pickup from your Punta Cana hotel a little before 8am. For this lesson, you can either choose to have a private lesson with you and your instructor or have a group lesson with you, two others, and your instructor. Whether you choose a private or group lesson, your session begins around 8a.m. This lesson is also one of the only ones certified by the Dominican Ministry of Tourism, the Eastern Surfing Association, and the Dominican Surfing Federation.

When you're ready, get set up on the beach with your board. Your instructor teaches you about safety precautions to take in the water, as well as simple skills you can use when your actually surfing. After some time practicing on the sand, it’s time to go surfing in the water.

Your instructor won’t leave your side as you try to ride the waves. He or she helps you by targeting specific moves or things you need to work on. Once your lesson ends, get escorted back to your hotel around 10a.m.
