We had an incredible time on our guided tour with Dennis! He was very knowledgeable and kind with our family. We were able to see so much wildlife that we would have been unable to spot had we not had him as a guide. He also taught us some nifty photography trips. We would definitely recommend doing a guided tour with Dennis!

Great guide. Saw lots of animals. This tour looks to be more expensive, so there are not as many people on it. However, it only costs more because the park entry is included. Most of the rest, you pay the entrance fee when you get there.

Dennis was an exceptional guide. He was incredibly responsive and patiently answered all my questions even before the tour date. His extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna was evident, and he went above and beyond to spot wildlife, ensuring a truly enriching experience for us. He skillfully assisted us in capturing some fantastic photographs and maintained constant communication with his peers to maximize our wildlife viewing opportunities. Dennis' passion for his work was truly inspiring, and we were incredibly grateful to have him as our guide.
Note:
We initially experienced some confusion upon arriving at the parking lot, as there were several people standing in line. Dennis handles the parking ticket and entry ticket for the park, so there was no need for us to take any action other than waiting for his arrival. This streamlined process was greatly appreciated.
The shuttle service has some limitations, operating with a single bus and potentially leading to delays. It's advisable to plan your arrival at the parking lot accordingly, as it tends to fill up quickly. Based on this experience, we suspect that the early morning tour might offer a more efficient and less crowded experience

We had the tour with Dennis who was truly exceptional. Unfortunately, we showed up very late. Dennis was extremely flexible and helped us make the most of our time. He was very knowledgeable and came across as very passionate about the park. Dennis was able to find the rare birds and explained various elements of the parks ecosystem. I highly recommend Dennis and would be happy to go on another tour with him.

Dennis was the best guide ever!! He was SO incredibly knowledgeable and was so understanding when we had to arrive a little late due to some unexpected road work delaying our commute to the cloud forest. He was soooo kind and attentive to my and my boyfriend. It ended up being a private tour with him because no one else signed up which was such a special experience and he handled us bombarding him with questions like a champ. He knew all the answers and more about different animal and plant species and was so talented at spotting the birds! He also brought his giant camera to take wildlife photos which he offered to share with us for no extra fee. He also took photos of us on the hanging bridges for no extra cost. He was an incredible guide and such a kind person to talk with as well. We could not be happier with our experience and I HIGHLY recommend booking with Dennis!

Our tour with Dennis was a wonderful experience. He had so much knowledge to share about all kinds of life in the cloud forest: the world’s smallest orchid flower, a zombie wasp taken over by cordyceps, leaves used for medicine by humans and primates, and so much more! He also helped us to take some great photos and we saw howler monkeys, peccaries, and a hummingbird nest (those I didn’t photograph) but even if we hadn’t seen any animals I would have enjoyed this tour. He was extremely engaging, shared tips for wildlife photography, and I would recommend him to everyone. He encouraged us to start our tour earlier in the day to avoid the rain, and I am so glad we did because the activity of wildlife was better in the morning as well (we came during rainy season in the first week of September).

Dennis was the best tour guide out there!!! He was so knowledgeable about all of the plant and animal species and made for a very informative excursion. We were able to see tarantulas, the rare quetzal, butterflies, millipedes, other birds, and of course coatis!
Definitely go to Dennis for any and all tours through the cloud forest!

According to Dennis our tour guy, could forest has less animals to watch. Dennis is nice guy and has knowledges about lot of things, but he was so rush the whole tour. We were able to see a toucan because my kid was patient enough to stay there. At the end, he just left us to the cafe to watch the hummingbird eating the hummingbird feeders. I paid lots of money for this tour, and got the worst service compared to all other tours.

Dennis, our tour guide, was amazing. We had such a fantastic experience. We drove 3 hours from the La Fortuna side of CR to Monteverde just to go to the Cloud Forest, and Dennis was so kind and attentive. He made the visit so special by showing us amazing animals, explaining the biodiversity that exists, and really knew his history as well as the life cycles of plants and the animals there in the Cloud Forest as well as the rest of Costa Rica. Very knowledgeable and kind! Definitely ask for Dennis if you can!
