    • St. Peter's is closed on Wednesdays from 8:00 AM-01:00 PM and on December 24 and 31. During these times, the tour will visit other parts of the museums
    • The Vatican can be very crowded all year round All visitors must pass through an airport-style security check. During high season, the wait at security may be up to 30 minutes
    • St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel can close without notice on rare occasions. If this happens, your guide will take you to tour the Vatican Museums and/or the Sistine Chapel/St Peter's Basilica instead
    • Travelers with disability are eligible for free tickets
    • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 20 travelers

    Cancellation Policy

    You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

    • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
    • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
    • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
    • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
    • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

    Deeply Disappointing and Expensive

    The English-speaking tour guide spoke with such a thick Italian accent, spoke very, very, lowly, and spoke very, very fast. The entire group were unable to understand nearly all of the explanations. She was kind, but unable to comprehend that WE were unable to comprehend (and really didn't seem to notice or care).

    Our guide Sylvia was very entertaining and knowledgeable. She made the experience interesting, and showed us the important pieces, which was just as well because it was heaving with people. Just be aware that 'skip the queue means that you join a shorter queue of the other 'skip the queue groups'

    This tour was absolutely terrible. We spent hundreds of dollars to see this. Got to our meeting point at the time on the ticket. Our tour guide was great but told us the St. Peter’s basilica didn’t open until 2 pm. The guide took her time. After 5 hours we were over the tour and my husband just wanted to leave. So needless to say I never saw what we paid for. It was absolutely ridiculous. And nothing but a waste of time. I was so pissed off when we left the tour.

    Never went, was notified no guide, asked if we wanted to attend without a guide, texted the person back, yes, but never received a confirmation text until the next morning and no time to get to the place. Very Beey disappointed. Tried to text back the person and No response on refund. They offered a partial at first now nothing.

    I had a great experience at the Vatican but horrible with the company I purchased my guided tour, since they canceled on me one hour before the time and refuse to return my money.

    Sylvia was a fantastic guide and I would recommend her highly! I had been injured a few days prior to this tour and she was so kind and checked on me often. She has a wonderful command of the history of the Vatican and makes it fun to listen and learn!

    Mister Tours did an exceptional job with our Vatican Tour. We initially had a difficult time with public transportation and got to the meeting place 5 minutes late. One of the tour guides promptly brought us to the reception area of the Vatican Museum and brought us to our group just before they started the tour. We were very impressed they went out of their way to try and get us to the tour despite our arrival time. Once we started, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the information she was sharing. Overall, she did a very good job. The tour states that we would end at St. Peters Square, but after she explained the rules just outside of the Sistine Chapel, she took our audio equipment and said her goodbyes. We felt a bit confused when we ended up at the Vatican Museum gift shop and back in the street by the museum entrance. We had to walk the few blocks to St. Peters Square. Not sure if this was miscommunication with the tour company or simply a change in things at the Vatican itself. Not a huge deal.

    Our tour guide Teresa from MisterTour was excellent. She kept us moving to see a lot of the Vatican museum, and dwell too much but gave us just enough info to get a good understanding of what we were looking at from period, style, historical importance. Her explanations of the work of the Sistine Chapel were superb ! Very much recommend her and the tour company.

    Too long - moved slowly. Got boring, even with the tremendous items and rooms to see. I’ve been on many tours and would not recommend this one.
