First off our tour guide was late and the meeting instructions were confusing. All in our group were looking trying to figure it out. On that our tour guide was great, knowledge and sweet.
The actual tour honestly sucked. We didn't get to tour the train, boat, or tunnels. We walked past the trains, stood on the look out to see the boat and stood on a lawn over the tunnels. Stuff I could have done for free off Google.

This was a waste of money and time. Our guide Emma had such a bad attitude about there being people making noise in a very public place and kept trying make that as an excuse when she was obviously forgetting what she was talking about. She didn’t know a lot dates and it sounded like she was making things up half the time. Some people are just not meant for public speaking. She kept saying “so you know crazy” and “you know white people” as a white passing woman. Majority of our group was white and it was uncomfortable for everyone. She was not very good at telling any of the stories. At the end she goes off about okay so you can throw money at me or Venmo me now and make sure to say how amazing I was in your review. It was terrible and cringey. We were so excited for this but this is not what we were expecting and we are so disappointed. Maybe if we had a real guide who new what they were talking about it would have been a little more worth it but we hated it.

The meeting place for the tour guide was not provided. We ended up missing the tour. I need a refund.

The tour wasn’t what I expected. I thought we would be going into buildings and checking them out, but instead we just stood outside of them which was disappointing. I think that this aspect needs to be clearer when booking the tour. To be honest, I don’t think the tour was worth the money.

Ethan, our guide, didn’t shy away from talking about how really difficult and dangerous, and sometimes downright heartless, life in the 19th century Sacramento was. He included a wealth of information about the perils of life In the century when Sacramento was being built.
