      Fun RIB ride In Haugesund

      The RIB boat was amazing!! It was so cool seeing the islands and enjoying the ride! We went in early May and still needed a hat to help keep us warm! 54 degrees the day we went and the wind was cold but the suit keeps your body warm!! So much fun! Highly recommend!

      Amazing trip across 3 island communities We went slow and enjoyed the scenery And kicked it up to high speed across the open water! Hit 50 mph at one point! Trip is well organized and safe but do adhere to physical limitations! We were fortunate the sea was like glass! Cheers to our guide/ captain he was excellent!

      The history of the two islands and details about their current residents, seeing their salmon nets with the fish jumping and a cheeky seal trying to get some lunch. The trip into the North sea was thrilling even though it was a calm day, we had plenty of bumps in the ride!

      So much fun on this RIB ride, shore staff were nice, the boat pilot was brilliant & informative and the Viking Adventures desk was close to the ship. My only complaint was how far away the RIB was from the ship - a good 10 minutes walk whereas another company wet much closer. This was only an issue for us as our son had a bad knee so complained all the way- he had so much fun he’d forgotten about it on the way back!

      Amazing tour guide! Aweosme trip. We loved the tour guide and all of the knowledge he provided. We felt rushed getting the dry suite on, but because of the rushing (and two of our guest were slow, including my 85 year old father) , we actually ended up with extra time at the and got to take a longer route back, and got to see Norwegian Bald Eagle. We had a blast. We had so much fun, we looked at other “rib” tours we could take.

      Ruined by rude, irresponsible administration

      I arrived an hour early but was assured that the trip would start on time. When I returned on schedule, I was told that it had been cancelled because there were too few people and that I would have to wait even longer to take the trip later in the day. I considered this to be rude and unacceptable, particularly after the assurance that the trip would start on time. Had I known the truth, I could have spent my time more profitably, rather than wasting much of the day by the harbour. The company did try to make up for the considerable inconvenience by offering a couple of Viking-themed attractions; however, they evidently were tacky, touristy kitsch, and I wasn't interested in the slightest. Also very rude was the refusal of two people to speak Norwegian with me, even though I spoke quite clearly. It must be said that the guide, Rune, spoke Norwegian with me and even seemed to be pleased to be addressed in his language. Indeed, Rune saved the day by giving a respectable trip to some of the islands nearby. His efforts notwithstanding, I cannot recommend this firm, which appears to take a cavalier approach both to its commitments and to the convenience and dignity of its customers.

If it is cancelled due to the minimum not being met, we offer a different time, experience or a full refund. I understand you were offered a different time slot and free entry to The Viking Planet. Although The Viking Planet may not be to your liking, we are glad to hear that you enjoyed your RIB tour with Rune.       Absolutely amazing experience. We booked this trip as part of our cruise day stop in Haugesund. Easy to find tour hut when off ship (green viking adventure flags) however we were booked on the 12:30 trip so went for a walk in the morning.. recieved a phonecall to say noone else was on our time slot & would we be able to make the trip before hand.. which we were happy to do so.. we even got picked up so we could make it on time, which was great of staff to accommodate, as we were by the national monument we couldnt of walked back in time. They provide bear suits. Googles. Gloves & safety float harness. Our pilot was Vidar - he was superb! His energy & passion was what made the tour 11/10! We were lucky to have a good day weather wise.. we even spotted a heron & and Eagle on the trip. Recommend this trip! 👌

      My friends and I had an exhilarating RIB ride with a brief crossing of the North Sea. Captain Vidar warned us that we would go very fast and that we should move with the boat. Surprisingly, I did not experience and seasickness and I think it was because we moved so quickly. We toured around some little islands and fishing villages. Great tour and recommend but not for faint hearted.

      What a fun experience!! We had an AMAZING time. The ride was speedy and exhilarating, but we felt very safe the whole time. The scenery was unbelievable, and our pilot/guide was so knowledgeable. I would take this tour all over again!! Highly recommend!!
