Awesome experience

Even though we started the trip at 2 a.m. and changed busses at the border, because you can only pass by foot into Jordan, the whole experience is WORTH it. The border passing is quite fast, 50+ people were processed in about 30-40 minutes. From there, you are taken to see Aqaba. You are taken into a really luxurious neighbourhood with pools and restaurants, after that you can take a city tour from wich you are able to see the Red Sea and the Egypt and Israely shore of the Red Sea. The final part of the day is in Wadi Rum with a 4x4 safari and overnight accomodations in the desert. The Hassan Camp is truly unique. The rooms have clean bathrooms, big beds, AC, big windows so you can see the mountain and evening entertainment with music and dance. The dinner and breakfast were really good and diverse. Fresh quality food. The trip from Wadi Rum to Petra its like a rollercoaster in the mountains. Unique views all the way. The moment you reach the Treasury in Petra, all of your tiredness goes away and you can spend hours on end in that spot, even though the place is HUGE and you need 3-4 days to see everything. We also had a free meal at a nice restaurant after exiting Petra (which was not mentioned). Some of the people in the group were late at the final pickup point so the bus driver had to go really fast so we can reach the 8 p.m. border closing. We got there with 15 minutes to spare. All in all it was a truly nice experience, awesome people and places and only wish I could have spent more time. The guide Kareem is really nice and smiling all the time. This was the FIRST trip (in over 30 made with VIATOR) where the guide and the driver did NOT ask us for tips, even tough they deserved it.
Amazing Jordan

I really enjoyed this trip; Wadi Rum and Petra was just amazing. Our tour guide Ahmed Tourist Jordan was very knowledgeable and I thought he showed the best of Jordanian hospitality.
What an experience in Wadi Rum camp/Petra

My husband and I did not know what to expect of this tour since information was somewhat insufficient. We were worried about the accommodation and bathroom facilities in the tents at Wadi Rum. What a pleasant surprise! To say that the Magic Desert Dunes camp was wonderful is an understatement. Our tent was very comfortable and cosy, dinner and breakfast were delicious and the staff was extremely friendly. Although we were tired from the long day, which started at 2 a.m. in Tel Aviv, we managed to dance at the sound of Arabian music with our hosts. The tour of Petra was excellent because we had enough time (more than 4 h) to visit this archeological wonder and imbibe its atmosphere. We also would like to praise our guide Adnan, who went out of his way to provide the best Jordan experience. He is a great person and extremely professional. Many thanks to you, Adnan.
Book elsewhere…

Visiting Petra and Wadi Rum were beautiful and ultimately glad that I was able to go and experience it with friends. However, if I were to do it again I would NOT do it with Tourist Israel. We paid for 2 Martian style tents but once we arrived to the camp (after an 18 hour day + 15 hours of travel from the US) we were only given one. The hotel immediately placed blame on the tour company and was unable to fix the issue on their side and I was told Tourist Israel has made this mistake before with other travelers. It was nearly impossible to get in contact with anyone from Tourist Israel to rectify the issue and there was overall poor communication between them and their partners on the ground in Jordan. 1 week since the trip no one has responded to my messages or request for refund. The entire situation lacked professionalism and fell way below my expectations given the generally positive reviews. In this case it was a lodging mix up, but in the event there was an emergency I’m seriously concerned that they have the proper communication channels to keep everyone safe given how challenging it was to reach them. The other parts of the trip were okay, but as others have said it’s a very long day which was complicated by crossing the border. I think some of the wait time can be reduced if you book a private tour. My advice - If you’re going to Jordan elect to use another company.
Not to miss!

Abdullah was an excellent guide. The whole tour was well paced with a nice balance of info (not overloading you with facts as on some tours I have been on). Wadi Rum was just a beautiful place and the Bedouin / Jordanian people were great!
Petra and Wadi Rum is worth going. There is lots of room for improvement

What we like: Wadi Rum and Petra are the highlights of this trip and they don’t disappoint. Wadi Rum is fantastic. Vast area of fine soft sand and serenity. The tour guide Abudulah started the jeep tour at 4pm when the weather is more manageable and get to watch the Sunset is a good suggestion. Walking bare footed is also Abudulah's idea. It was a great experience. The hotel we stayed is next to a hill and great place for star gazing and watching the early Sunrise. We decided to upgrade to a hotel instead of staying in the tent as we wanted our own bathroom (toilet and shower all in one) at additional cost. Its worth it if you don’t want to walk out to a common shower and toilet facilities. According to others, Petra is the 'eight wonder of the world' and it agree. Definitely on one's bucket list. To get to see with our own eyes the actual scene where the movie Indiana Jones were shot is worth the trip. But be prepared for at least more than 4 hours of walking under the hot sun. However, it is all worth it. Overall, Abudulah is very knowledgeable and considerate. What could be done better: 3am departure from Tel Aviv and the next day 12 midnight arrival back to Tel Aviv is a struggle for some of us. Only one lunch (on day 2) is included and its a plastic bag filled with a banana, apple, tomato, a bread-donut, a packet drink, chips and candy bar. We personally find that too much time is spent in gift shops where we would rather save the hours and get back to Tel Aviv earlier (instead of midnight) or depart later (instead of 3 am in the morning). Some of us were confused when the Tour Guide told us we will be making a stop at Aqaba for four hours instead of going to Wadi Rum as stated in the program. The bus from Tel Aviv to Jordan could be cleaned before allowing the guests to board. But the bus from Jordan to Tel Aviv was must better - newer and cleaner. Viator should pay more attention to basic cleaniness. Overall, the 2day tour toWadi Rum and Petra is definitely worth going. But the departure from Tel Aviv could be delayed by a couple of hours and arrival at Tel Aviv could be earlier by an hour if we cut out the long hours at Abaqa city and the time we spent stopping at gift shops where few of us are interested.
