Shuttle too expensive for the service
I'm only talking about what I paid 69 euros for 2, that is to say the journey of my car at the start of the hike, too expensive for 30 minutes of bus and you still have to walk after at least 19.4 km 1 km to get to the vehicle... a little disappointed!
I am sorry we had to translate this to understand and to make it clear for our English speaking readers.
You say the shuttle was to expensive and yet you still booked it? What I would like to point out is that we were the lowest priced shuttle for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing service you wanted. Running a special promotion.
Not only that but we also made ourselves available with your request for an Urgent Shuttle booking after our close off time.
Great service there right? In regards to the comments on pricing!
Firstly we do not operate in Euros and our pricing is to our New Zealand local market and the costs we pay at a local level! Unfortunately our costs maybe higher than Europe!
What you do not understand or appreciate is the 30 minute journey is quite involved.
The Depatment of Conservation requires us to pay $8 per person for this journey. The Governement of New Zealand takes 15% as a Goods and service Tax, The Commision you paid to Viator was 32%.
This leaves $52 new zealand or 30 euros of what you paid to run the shuttle Bus and pay the driver.
Sadly the summer is shortened by weather and not having a full bus everyday.
You get to walk New Zelands iconic internationally known for free and you pay for the convieniance of being able to walk the full track with up to date weather and local knowledge.
This is an unfair review given we are one of several suppliers of this type of service and our rating is set from one review less than a month after registering with viator all because you want to complain about the price after using the service.
Well maybe you can run a cheaper service we will be happy to sell to you.
