What To Expect

This walking beer tour begins outside the Hockey Hall of Fame on Yonge Street. While strolling through the streets of Old Town Toronto, learn how beer played a role in the city’s past while visiting three classic Toronto pubs.

Beer has been a constant throughout Toronto’s history, helping soothe a city with a variety of problems — fire, war, depression, cholera, rebellion and repression. Listen to the many stories of years gone by while taste testing some of the best local brews.

Visit three unique and beloved Toronto pubs, including the popular, award-winning Mill Street Brewery. Discover seasonal and local brews at each, complete with expert recommendations from the tour guide.

Then, visit the spacious St. Lawrence Market, with over 100 vendors, bakers, butchers and artisans. Grab some samples and enjoy chatting up the locals before touring the trendy Distillery District, one of Toronto’s most historic and regenerated neighborhoods. This internationally acclaimed, pedestrian-only village features more than 70 ground-floor cultural and retail establishments in the restored red brick, Victorian-era buildings of the Gooderham and Worts whiskey distillery. Gooderham and Worts was once the largest distiller of alcoholic beverages in Canada.

Beer, history, urban icons and unique neighborhoods. It’s all on this educational and entertaining tour.

Enjoyed learning the proper method for tasting beer. Jason was a knowledgeable tour guide. We felt like there was a little too much time between tastings because of the Christmas Market, but enjoyed the 2 places we visited
Lots of walking with lots of learning

Dave is a great host. He set a good pace & kept the conversation flowing. Enjoyable time with a small group. Not a great option for a rainy day though.
Fantastic day of learning with a couple beers!

Jordan is a knowledgeable guide who literally wrote the book about craft beer and as a Toronto native he knows a lot about the city as well.

My husband and son went on this and they loved it. They said that their guide was amazing. It's both beer and a city tour in one.

Had the best time on our tour! Great beer and loved Mike. Went to places my friend, who has lived in Toronto for 10 years, has never visited. Would 100% recommend, although we may have traumatized our poor tour guide 😂
Informative and Entertaining Tour

Had a great day in Toronto starting with the Toronto beer tour lead by Mike our tour guide and historian. Great information about the history of Canada and Toronto while drinking craft beer at C'est What, Betty's, the St.Lawrence Market and Mill Street brewery. Mike was very enthusiastic and entertaining a great tour guide.

Meh...
Shari_V, Aug 2019
If you want to try a bunch of different beers, this is not the right tour for you. We had three stops and got three beers and then sat there. He also spoke negatively about Canada. If he was Canadian, it could be seen as self-depreciating, but instead it was insulting. I was not impressed.
Great Time!

Mike was our tour guide and we ended up being the only 2 on the tour. Mike took the time to get to know us and helped us to choose beers that fit what we liked. He shared a great deal of information about the city and introduced us to different people at the different pubs. A great time and very informative.
