    Excellent tour - highly recommended
    Erin_G, Apr 2024
Gilberto was an excellent guide again for our Chichen Itza tour. Starting a Chichen Itza tour from Valladolid definitely seems like the better option compared to Cancun or Merida, as we arrived there not long after it opened, so you're not there in the worst heat of the day. Gilberto imparted a lot of really interesting knowledge about Chichen Itza during our tour. Yokdzonot cenote was lovely, and the lunch provided there was excellent. Izamal was very pretty, with 'bonus' Mayan structures that we wouldn't have seen if not for this tour.
Amazing full day with a small group
    Frank_C, Mar 2024
We had an amazing full day with Jose, our tour operator. The fact that we left early (7am) from Valladolid helped us reach Chichen Itza at opening and enjoyed a couple of hours there before it got too crowded and hot. The visit at the Cenote was very nice, and same for the little town of Izamal. I would definitely recommend booking this tour for anyone who wants a small group and a full active day!
Ideal tour to explore the region
    Michelle_L, Mar 2024
Perfect way to explore the Yucatán. Our guide was Jose - passionate and knowledgable about the Mayan culture and region, he spoke excellent English and had a great sense of humour. He made our day extremely comfortable and enjoyable in the 41° degree heat of the day. Our lunch at the Cenote was delicious. Guacamole to start followed by a selection of dishes, the chicken fajitas were perfect for a full day of sight seeing. Highly recommend.
Incredible day out with a great guide
    Harry_M, Mar 2024
Jose was a fantastic host and incredibly knowledgeable, as well as speaking (at least) 5 languages and effortlessly switching between them on the tour. We learned a lot about Mayan culture and the history of the area, as well as seeing some incredible sights. Would highly recommend if you’re staying in Valladolid and want to pack a lot into a day at a great price. The cenote was magical!
    Great trip!

Gilberto gave us an amazing tour of the chichen itza and izamal. A lot of humour, fun times and interesting facts. It is a long day but completely worth it!
    Excellent trip / excellent guide

We had an excellent day yesterday on this trip. We were picked up from our hotel at the time advised and arrived at Chichén Itzá early before all the crowds. Jose Gilberto our guide was brilliant - full of knowledge, personable and fun. After a guided tour we were given an hour to wander around ourselves. Swimming in the Yokdzonot Cenote was amazing - well worth doing even if you are a bit anxious about it - so tranquil. The local lunch was delicious. The trip to Izamal involved being able to climb up the temple ruin (if you wanted to) with amazing views of the time - definitely felt that we’d stepped back a bit in time. The trip home at the end of the day was topped off by Gilberto’s eclectic music taste. A brilliant day and a fine way to end our holiday in Mexico. Thank you Gilberto!
    ¡Jose!

Jose was very knowledgeable and friendly. The best part was swimming in a beautiful and uncrowded cenote at a cooperative and having a lunch with the best, most authentic homemade tortillas I’ve ever had.
    Great tour - it was...

Great tour - it was absolutely worth to get there early in order to beat the crowds! Gilberto was a great guide
    Mexigo Go Wonders tour
    Algene_A, Nov 2023
We used Mexigo tours "GoWonders". First off I believe that using Valladolid as a jump off point for Chichen Itza is superior to booking a tour from Cancun. You will be able to get in and leave early when the crowds and heat become unbearable. Gilberto is a solid tour operator and very funny.
    Fantastic experiance
    Jack_C, Aug 2023
Our guide José Gilberto was fantastic all day, he had incredible knowledge and answered all of our questions very well. Chichen-Itza is a fascinating place that was made much better by our guide. Would 100% recommend!
    Great Family Tour
    Andy_H, Jul 2023
Our family of 9 had a great time on this tour. Gilberto was awesome, friendly and knowledgeable and fun! We loved Chichen Itza. The cenote and lunch were incredible and Izamal was beautiful.

Thank you for having chosen us for your family! We hope to host you again one day.
Brilliant introduction to Yucatan and Mayan history and culture
    Tom_C, Jul 2023
Chichén Itza was stunning, made so much better by being there when it opened at 8am to beat most of the crowds. Our guide, Gilberto shared lots of information and insight into the site, Mayan culture and the history of the area.
Ruins, Cenotes, and the yellow town— a perfect day
    Peter_B, Jul 2023
Gilberto was an expert guide, with a great sense of humor and a deep well of entertaining stories. Highly recommended!
    Excellent full-day tour from Valladolid!
    Sarah_G, Apr 2023
Our amazing guide picked us up at our hotel exactly when the booking said he would, took us to Chichen Itza right when it opened, helped us beat the crowds for tickets, and guided us through the site, making it a much more enjoyable and enriching experience than if we'd gone on our own. I appreciated having a more local/Indigenous perspective on the history and meaning behind the ruins, with a bit of humor in the mix! He had his official tourism license and was clearly a regular face around the site (based on how many of the vendors and other licensed guides knew him). Only 2 other people were on our tour - 4 of us total - so it felt very personal and the air-conditioned van was comfortable! The lunch and cenote swim after Chichen Itza were a welcome cool down/pit-stop, and the extra excursion to Izamel to see more Mayan ruins plus the beautiful convent and plaza area was amazing! I appreciated that the itinerary built-in time 'on our own' at each of the 3 locations, and how smooth and professional the whole experience was. Try the corn ice cream and tip your guides well! 5 stars!
    Amazing tour!
    Noemie_A, Mar 2023
We enjoyed a wonderful day trip with José as our guide. He was knowledgeable, engaging and simply the best guide we could ask for. You will not regret booking this tour. Arriving early at Chichen Itza makes a huge difference. Thanks again José!
    Great day!
    Lori_W, Feb 2023
Great experience at Chichén Itzá and Cenote. Quite a long day and the visit to Izamal could easily be dropped and the trip would still be amazing. More time at the cenote and at CI could be added.
    Expert guide
    Liz_T, Feb 2023
A fantastic guided tour. While I’m usually a budget traveler using Mexico’s bus system , what makes this worth it is the context guide and significance explanation. His history and heritage knowledge is unparalleled. Worth every penny!
Following the path of mayan gods
    David_S, Jan 2023
Every part of this tour was well organised and excellent. Our guide, Jose was very well prepared and took care of everyone during the day. He was telling interesting stories about the maya civilization, answered every question of us. He made a friendly community from complete strangers by the end of the day. We feel a bit sorry not to have more freetime in Izamal.
    A fun-filled day!
    Kylie_L, Dec 2022
Our tour guide was amazing and we enjoyed the entire day. Our lunch at the cenote was delightful and the corn ice cream in Izamal was the cherry on top. Our guide's tour of Chichen Itza was incredibly informative and really made the trip worthwhile. I would definitely recommend!
    It was really interesting...

It was really interesting and fun. Before it got busy we were at Chichén Itzá and we had the cenoyte all for ourselves.
